Introducing the 2-1/2 Inch Router Dust Port by POWERTEC.
This compact dust extraction fitting was designed to work in conjunction with your router table dust collector system. It is specifically crafted for standard sized router table and shaper table mounting (please see size specifications before ordering to ensure an optimal fit).
It aids in providing a safe and healthy work shop environment – helping to keep work surfaces clean and free from dust. Featuring a molded ABS plastic construction, this small dust port is built with a 1/8” thickness to withstand the daily wear and tear commonly associated with woodworking dust collection – including the abrasive nature of wood fiber chips, saw dust and other debris.
This dust port works seamlessly with most homemade routers, shaper tables and table saw fences. In conjunction with a 2-1/2” OD 45 or 90 degree adapter, you can even connect a 2/1/2 inch ID flexible hose to the port and use it in combination with your drill press. Keep your dust collection system operating effectively and efficiently with this handy dust collector accessory.

The title of the item is absolutely accurate, it truly is a 2.5" ID port. The problem is with the wonky vacuum hose size names that have evolved over the years. 2.5" ports are typically 2.25" ID, so this port doesn't fit the standard.

I installed this on the fence that I use for my router table and also for my oscillating sander. I use a 2.5" to 1.25" reducer and attach my small shop vac. It's an inexpensive but successful way to control dust when I'm working.

This fits the hose from my Ridgid Shopvac perfectly and it was easy to mount to my router table.

My old router table needed and upgrade to the fence, I made one from some plans on the net and used the guard and dust port to connect to the dust system. These work very well for me.

It's perfect. I can do router work in my basement shop. Shop vac collects the wood chips and dust.

This has an internal diameter of 2-1/2 inches, which is too big for my Craftsman shop vac hose. The Powertec 70124 fits the shop-vac hose perfectly, but does not have the built-in corner enclosure of this one.

Le quedó bien a mi cerco para router de mesa que hice, el problema es que a pesar que mi aspiradora es una ridgid de 2 1/2 pulgadas el agujero es más grande y no aprieta para nada, queda floja. Lo solucioné cortando un tubo de PVC y añadiéndolo a la entrada cortando poco a poco hasta que quedara bien mi manguera de la aspiradora

Works Great! I understand the fuss about the hose hole being larger than expected, but all you have to do is take the adapter off the end of your shop Vac hose and place the hose in the hole. Works great for me. I did not realize that the suction hole was larger than normal until after I ordered it and read a review on it. But that did not worry me cause I just figured I would buy an adapter or just stick the hose end in and let the suction hold it in place. No problems whatsoever, sucks as good as my other router port with the correct size hose. So save yourself some money and buy this if you need one. It works great!
