I was completely blown away by the quality of these. Of course I expected them to be sturdier than the plastic versions sold elsewhere on Amazon, but these are heavy, heavy duty. And for this price?? Wow.

These metal blast gates are way better than the plastic ones, but they still need a little work. I found the casting nubs were allowing air to slip by. So I took a large mill file to both halves which greatly improved the gate. Then there was no longer any perceivable air getting past. Once I did this to all four of my boat gates the dust collection system was working at its peak performance. I highly recommend these with the understanding you need to help clean them up just a bit to make them work their best.

This is a good product from Powertec, but it was a looser fit than I was expecting. I changed to Powertec orange blast gates and I really like them.
