There clear plastic pipes, so not exactly surprising what you get, and as far as 36" long pieces of clear plastic PVC pipe they don't disappoint.However, one thing to be aware of if you are trying to use this Powertec 2-1/2" clear PVC pipe with the Powertec blast gates and Y's or elbows....they don't fit together. You heard that right, even though the fittings have a narrowed end, which would certainly lead you to expect that the pipe would slip over them, that is not the case.The narrowed ends on the fittings and the pipe are the same diameter so...SURPRISE, they work like normal PVC pipe! To join up the straight pieces with the Y's and elbows you either have to use sections of flexible pipe and clamps as a coupler (why would I buy hard pipe if I was interested in using flexible?) or you have to buy the Powertec Couplers at $9.99 EACH?!?So just add $20 per elbow to the cost and it'll all work out great!Fail guys, seriously.

This works as described for dust collection. While I don’t understand why manufacturers have to have such a difference between PVC and dust collection (I realize it is schedule 20 vs 40), but it’s still annoying that they don’t make these parts interchangeable. If you aren’t familiar with dust collection, the plastic is thinner than regular PVC, but so long as you’re not dropping it on the floor or trying to force it into a fitting, it works very well.

Exactly what I was looking for to add to my dust collection system. I needed to split my system for my cnc and a second one for general clean up. extremely sturdy. I like how it is transparent so I know there isnt any blockage.

The quality of this product is very high. I would say it is as good as the quality of any Big name brand dust collection/ shopvac items.I only bought this because it's stated that there's a high probability that it does work, and it is compatible with the Dewalt 735X planer.The reducer does not fit, and it's not compatible!The flex cuff will work if you tighten the bands down hard enough. There's a little bit too much room for my likeness. But the cuff, will flex down to make it snug.
