Received on August 10th. , installed on the 11th and burnt up on Sept. 7 . The car had only been run short distances over the next few weeks starting about 8 times. I called customer service and the person said it's probably the battery check that. I did and it was not taking a charge so I bought another one. I then went and had my old starter tested and it was good. I put my old starter back on the car and it runs fine. Amazon a say's 30 day warranty for this starter. On the Power Master box it say's 1 year. By this time I've replaced the battery and reinstalled my original starter at just about 30 days. Sending it back anyway.

Works 100x better than oe, on my 1973 Dodge dart 318, starts the 1st time now, good price and 2 day shipping, my only gripe is the location of the teminals.

Did not clear my 10 year old Headman long tube headers. Even a big hammer was not enough. Installed stock starter with a heat shield, and returned this unit. As popular as these are, and given that all the different manufacturers have the same overall design - even the expensive ones - I am sure it is my headers, and not the starter. I suspect a newer set of headers would fit, otherwise, there would be more complaints.

This high torque starter solved my hot start issues . The smaller size allows for better clearance when using headers . This upgrade is a must have for an old big block muscle car .keep in mind that you can find a starter from a newer vehicle that will fit your classic car .it is supposed to be the same type of high torque starter . If you find one that fits your vehicle ,it will cost you a lot less . I gave it 4 stars because of this .
