Seem to be a good less expensive alternative to OEM batteries. Had good life and recharged with no issue. We’ll see how they hold up over time.

These are a much better price than the Canon batteries and have more capacity, too. So far, they are working great and still holding lots of charge. If they die prematurely, I'll come back and update this review. 5 stars for now.

These are for my Canon EOS70D. I haven't used them much yet, but they charged up ok, and the camera worked fine.

The first thing I noticed when I received these was that they took a long time to charge up. That's usually a good thing. It's usually a good indicator of battery capacity. These batteries seem to perform as well as the Canon OEM battery.Even shooting video does not seem to adversely affect them or cause them to overheat as some batteries do during extended video.I wish I could say more. but I don't know what else to say. Capacity and function seem on par with the Canon OEM battery at a much lower price point. If anything changes, I'll update the review.

The batteries arrived in great condition. They truly are a great replacement for an original Canon battery in regards of cost. A Canon battery is priced at $57. I can get 6 batteries from Powerextra for about the same price so do the math. Now since I have gotten a new camera, a Canon 5D MK IV, I have noticed that Canon has become more aggressive in not allowing 3rd party manufacturers to work as expected in the camera. What Canon has done is that it has not definitely allowed 3rd party batteries to be used in the camera. The camera can sense if the battery is not an original Canon battery. I think it must have some chip in it. That being said the camera will ask you if it is a Canon battery or if it is not. If you answer it is not then a warning will come up saying that Canon is not responsible for any damage done to the camera due to use of a non Canon battery. The camera monitors the rechargeability of a Canon battery. It indicated to me that my LP-E6, which was the first battery I used on my Canon 60D was not retaining its charge anymore. That kind of makes sense because I have been using that batter for 12 years now. So if you are using a 3rd party battery the 5D will not give you that information. So I think the cost savings trump the information provided to you by the battery. I have in the years I used 3rd party batteries have never had damage to my camera. I make sure I read the reviews and go with a brand I know. Powerextra is one of those brands. I highly recommend their batteries.

I don't normally write reviews, however, my experience with the Powerextra batteries and their company pushed me to do so. I was very satisfied with what I received. I had anticipated two batteries in generic plastic bags floating around in a large Amazon box, however, this was not the case. Powerextra had packed two batteries into two individual boxes, perfectly fit inside a Powerextra branded box. This, along side the included thank you note (printed on pretty nice card stock) with an assurance of customer service illustrates some effort on behalf of the company. This is above and beyond purchases I've had where the item is found free floating in the shipping box without any documentation, internal box, or even protection.I cannot comment on their long term efficiency, however, I can say that I'm more than satisfied with the batteries I received. I had purchased them for a seminar I was recording video for. I had done a similar length event recently where I had to switch from the Canon stock 1800mAh after about an hour of continuous recording. For the second event I used the Powerextra batteries (2600mAh) on both my Canon 5D Mark II and my 60D, and had power to spare in both at the end. For the price I paid for TWO batteries, I could buy around 3 sets (6 batteries in total) for the same price as one Canon branded battery (with less capacity and questionably longer service life). I am definitely satisfied with my purchase. In fairness of the review, I will say this - while charging one, one of my chargers just started blinking continuously, not in any single, double or triple sequence. I simply pulled the battery off and put it back on, and it was fine.

Worst decision I ever made... Trying to save a buck.... I bought 2, charged both, inserted into my Canon camera and they worked. Took both out and stored in camera bag. Went to use them and both were dead and both won't charge now. Lesson learned... if you're a pro, buy pro gear... if you want to take a chance, you get what you pay for.Amended on 11/20/17... After leaving my original feedback, the company emailed me asking for an in depth explanation and then responded asking me if they could send me 2 new batteries in place of the ones that didn't work. To be honest, I was blown away. When, in this day and age does that ever happen any more? So I agreed, what did I have to lose? The customer rep was on top of things every step of the way and it seemed that they could not do enough to make it right! My new batteries were rushed to me and upon arrival I charged them and used them on a job the next day. I charged them again and they are still up and running. I use a Canon charger that shows in real time the charge capacity and when it is fully charged. Some off brands will not do that, but these happily are recognized and work perfectly.S--t happens and lets face it, any company can miss occasionally, but not every company stands behind their products. This company does. I will buy confidently from them again.
