Used it to pull stub shafts out of a dodge IFS axle. Not what it's for but worked like a treat. Good value.

Used it to remove the pulley from a Ford power steering pump. Worked like a champ. The only negative was heads of the cross bolt cap screws could have been bigger.

As the puller arrives in its box, it's useless on pulleys with centers less 1 1/8". All the auto parts places that let you "borrow" pulley pullers were too big. The center sleeve on my Mazda Tributes power steering pulley is only 15/16ths. I was desperate so modified this tool by drilling out the small threaded screw holes and purchasing two nuts to fit the screws provided. This allowed the pulling together of the tools jaws and make the opening smaller to fit my pulley's center. Oh...and I used an impact wrench to tighten the tools center bolt. So...for $20+ and 40 cents for the nuts, I now have a really great tool for pulling pulleys. If you are handy, I recommend.

The reason I only gave 3 stars is that it appears that it should have had 2 different style jaws. I would assume that one of the jaws should have had threaded holes for the small bolts to screw into in order to tighten down on the part being pulled. I paid a little extra for this tool just for that feature and still had to use a hose clamp to secure the jaws to the part I was pulling since both jaws were drilled out to allow the bolts to slide all the way through

I bought this tool to modify. I ground the puller down so I can use it to remove stubborn stub shafts on dodges and Chevy's while using a slide hammer

Used on my 2003 Mazda B2300 pickup power steering pump pulley. Your average puller is designed to pull on pulley collars of 1 and 1/8" or wider. My pulley measured 15/16". Started damaging collar lip when I tried the most commonly found puller/installer kit. Although the first puller I tried said it would fit Ford/Mazda it did not work. This puller fits pulley collars 15/16" and larger. It's well built. Easy to use. Good price. Comes with blow molded case to stow when not in use.Does not come with a 4mm hex key/bit you will need to tighten the small bolts. Blow mold case does not come with a top half of case to facilitate worry free storage. Not designed to install pulley.Have no problem recommending this puller and wouldn't hesitate purchasing this tool again in the future.
