One of the benefits is that it protected the concrete from items that blow or fall into that area during the early phases of curing. We used this in a factory construction setting and it seems to have helped with great overall concrete results.

I feel a little awkward about this. I didn't get this til end of Feb and we had no more snow or really freezing weather. That by itself was unusual, but we usually have a pretty serious early April frost, and I was counting on at least that, but it didn't get quite cold enough for it.Our temps never went below 40, so it's not entirely a great test for a review. I can't really wait almost a year to review, though, and there's things about it I can certainly comment on now.We have a temp gun and it registers almost 90 F. We had to pull a corner up to test so I'm sure that made it lose a bit of heat, but I went fast. The mat itself isn't exactly heavy, but it's fairly awkward to move around. Dragging is obviously out of the question, so rolling it up so you can just unroll in the place needed is best. A two person job.The fabric is great. Very sturdy and thick. As long as it's treated decently, that shouldn't be a worry.I'm actually wondering how it would work for snow melting. We live in the mountains, all roads and driveways are gravel. Makes snow blowing difficult. I may try this next winter. Either way, I'll update with some better test data.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many things you buy every day will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice. I use this blanket to cure concrete in below freezing temperatures. I am building a step up walkway up a mountainside. and it has worked well for 5 pours so far.
