This is great for heating up a barrel. It gets sufficiently warm and does a good job at keeping the temperature. It's quite convenient for a number of tasks.

This is a nice solution for heating 5 gallon tubs, buckets and barrels, whether trying to soften honey or tallow, or just heat up water in winter for a livestock watering system (mine is for the water bucket in my rabbitry, which is in an unheated but decently protected building that doesn't usually get down to freezing temperatures, but the rabbits benefit from having warmer water).I love the simplicity of the setup: you wrap the bucket, clip the buckles into place, plug the 4 prong connectors together (there is a notch to make sure you get it right-side-up), and plug in the controller to a standard outlet. Then you long-press the power button, set the temperature (it has both up and down control buttons! You don't have to cycle all the way around again if you overshoot the temperature at first try) and set how long you want it on (1 hour up to 5 hours) and it's ready to go.I love that this is insulated on the outside, helping to hold the temperature in. The outside of the wrap stays pretty cool to the touch. The interior only gets to a moderate heat, 158 degrees F, so it's not going to melt your plastic buckets.Only one thing bothers me: the instructions and product description paperwork that came with this heater refer to a temperature probe, and depict a probe in the wiring diagram, with instructions to make sure to place the probe where it won't contact the heater... but no such probe seems to have been included. I'm not confident that it was supposed to be included (maybe the instructions were made for a different version of this heater) but if it was, they didn't put it in my kit, and I think a temperature probe would have been a good thing to include for the functionality of this heater. Also, the instructions are not very professional; they're just home printed on a sheet of paper. I docked one star for those issues, but otherwise I like this heater and would recommend it to other homesteads who need to safely heat up buckets in winter.

I have a passion for candle making. I do get bummed when I have one go south. This blanket is the perfect size and keeps a very consistent temperature to keep my candles from cooling too fast. The materials and liked very good quality and clean up well. The control is very user friendly. The cord also has sufficient length to reach my outlet without an extension. It is working very well for my uses.

This band heater is by far the best I've used so far. It's thick and heavy. Good quality. Heats up fairly quickly and get nice and warm. The straps are very adjustable for a good fit. The controller is intuitive and easy to use. This unit is really going to come in handy and be my go-to when cold weather sets in.

Brewing beer, wine, cider, and mead at home can be a challenge. One of my biggest challenges is getting precise control of the fermentation temperature. A few degrees too hot or too cold can be the difference between great success and abject failure. Typically, yeast needs to ferment in the range 50°F to 70°F depending on what is being brewed. Fermentation can take up to 4 weeks. This heating jacket from Fulsuces looked ideal to keep fermentations on track during the winter months. The 300W heater would allow me to leave the fermentation outside the home – for instance, in a garage or a basement. The product arrived packed in a plain cardboard box with a small external controller that supplies the power and monitors and controls the temperature, and an instruction leaflet. The instructions give details of how to position the temperature sensor before use – but it’s already sealed inside the jacket so I don’t know what this means. Installation is very easy – the jacket wraps around a 5 to 7-gallon bucket, carboy, or conical fermenter and is secured with adjustable clips. This takes a couple of minutes. The controller is then connected to the jacket and plugged into a standard 110V mains outlet. This is where my problems really started:[1] The temperature can only be adjusted within the range 86 to 158°F - USELESS FOR ME![2] The timer can only be set up to a maximum of 5 hours – USELESS FOR ME![3] If the power is interrupted, the heater won’t work again until the power button is pressed – USELESS FOR ME!Anyone considering buying this product that claims to have “Versatile Applications”, please note the above. It would have been nice if the vendor had mentioned these major limitations in the product listing. Having said all that, a simple software change in the controller could easily fix all these issues. This is not a cheap product and I debated whether to send it back to Amazon but the jacket is so well made and so easy to use that I will be cutting off the existing controller and replacing it with an off-the-shelf third-party device that will give me the control I need. I realize that not everyone will want to do this, so buyer beware. If it’s used to just warm up some honey to melt it for a short time, then I think this product would be ideal (albeit it’s a bit pricy) – however, that’s not my idea of a product with “Versatile Applications”.

The blanket-style barrel heater is simple to set up and use. It's insulated and heats the area evenly. I like that the heater has both an actual temperature setting and a timer that shuts off the unit. While meant for honey, I use this to help ferment my chicken feed during the colder winter months.

Takes some time when fully crystallized. Heats the outside first as to me expected for this blanket style. Have to stir the core and finished on the stove

While these things can be used to keep buckets of material for construction purposes warm in the winter, I got this specifically for honey. Regardless of external temperature, honey can crystallize over time, so it helps to have a way to get large amounts of it to a precise temperature slowly.
