When you handle this product, you will agree that it is quality built. The styling is nice and the images are agreeable. The filters that come with the product work well. The function of the product is exactly as advertised. Super fast coffee, super easy to clean. It is imperative to get the grind right. This will vary from grinder to grinder and taste will vary from person to person. With the manual grinder I use, there are 16 settings, 2 clicks per value. I pour a little water into the filter to wet it (toss that), then I put in the ground coffee. I then slowly pour hot water over the coffee to get it all wet, then stop, let drain. Then I slowly pour the rest of the water, taking about 20 seconds to do so. Done. A quick rise is all it takes to clean. It did take several tries to find the right grind size, the right temperature water, and the right pour speed. If you take the time to do that, you will get a great cup of coffee every single time. If you don't, stop being lazy and skipping steps. Many will consider the price as high for this product, but keep in mind the cost to produce such a nice and quality piece. Additionally, this is a one-time purchase that could easily last a lifetime. You will spend more on a crap coffee maker that you will throw away in a few years. Or you probably already have. We did. This product is worth the investment. Highly recommend.

When you open the shipping container, the first thing you notice is the nicely printed packaging. The package fold over is equipped with a small pop-out flap which allows you to open the package without damage. This is very useful if you wish to examine the product before giving it as a gift.While excellent illustrations of the product in use are provided on the website, the setup and use of the product is intuitive. Simply put the "dripolator" over the pot, insert the filter, place ground coffee in the filter and slowly pour in the hot water.The product is beautiful with a simple, blue floral pattern. It would look great as part of the decor of anyone's coffee preparation counter. It can also be used as part of a more formal tea-time-like experience. Most of the world's best tea houses also serve coffee.The product cleans up very easily after use. Rinsing it out with clean water works fine. Washing with soaps may leave soap residual which can affect the taste of the coffee (this applies of course to any coffee making system). The transparent glaze fired in after the pattern painting protects the pattern from wear.My wife and I love the product and hope that it will remain with us for the rest of our life!

I was surprised at what a good tasting cup of coffee I got from this pour over coffee maker. When I ordered it I did so because it is so pretty. I had hoped I would enjoy the coffee but perhaps because it is so simple I didn’t expect to enjoy the coffee as much as I did.I really wish I had came across this years ago. My husband and I used ti take our kids camping a few times every summer. We would make coffee over a fire and it always tasted a bit burnt. A lot of times we would end up drinking instant coffee so that we could have our coffee quicker. I really thought this pour over method is much quicker than the campfire coffee we used to make.I haven’t been camping in many years. My kids are in their mid-late 30’s now but if I were to turn back the clock I would definitely keep something like this in my camper and if tent camping I would be sure to have it packed.This morning I was thinking of the times I would have found a system like this pretty great. I thought about all the trips we took over the years during which we would stay at a hotel or motel. They always had little 2 cup drip coffee makers in the rooms. The glass was always stained from not being cleaned properly and all too often only coffee in the rooms would be decaf. As to that I have only one word. If you guessed “yuk” you got it right. I think these makers would be a much better option and quicker.I read a review on these where the person leaving the review said that they heated the coffee cup in the microwave so that they will have a hotter cup of coffee. I would’ve done this myself after reading it but my microwave had just quit working a couple days ago. I instead I ran really hot water over it in hopes that would keep the coffee warmer. I don’t know if it did or not because I don’t have anything to compare the experience too, but my coffee was hot and I enjoyed it. I did use piping hot water though when IThe bottom line is I’m glad I ordered it and I think it will be nice for me to be able to enjoy having a cup of coffee in the morning again without being tempted to make a whole pot and ending up miserable with acid reflux like I used to get

This pour over set is adorable and shipped quickly. It is exactly as it was described and did come with the cone style filters. Everyone seems to have a filter or filter style they like so I don't really think it's fair to rate those based on my personal preference.It's very easy to prepare a fantastic cup (or two) of coffee with this set and cleanup is very easy as well. It's obviously your choice if you want to use the coarse ground (like French press) or a medium fine ground, depending on your preference. Honestly, if you are adding half a cup of sugar and a quart of milk to your cup of coffee, it makes zero difference anyway. :) I do recommend letting your boiling water rest a minute before pouring it over whatever size grounds you decide to use. It is a bit easier to do if you have a gooseneck style kettle, but, really, if you are using a tea kettle for your water, that will work as well. You could put ice in the bottom and make a stronger coffee, but, I really feel that most people buying a pour over set kind of already know what they are doing and already have a basic knowledge about coffee. It's cute and useful and I do like how easy it is to clean, especially since many people do not use soap in their coffee makers.
