Worked very well I boiled my potatoes, and then scoop them out of my strainer into the ricer and I have arthritis in my hands cause I’m 66 and it was easy to push them through the racer and I had the fluffiest mashed potatoes ever

This is a good ricer that can be used to juice fruit and do everything a good ricer should do. The handles are bare metal, which makes them very uncomfortable to use. We bought silicon pot handles to protect our hands. They make a good ricer much better.

It understands the assignment and executes it perfectly, period. I've had it for over a year now; it's durable, reliable and easy to clean since it comes apart. Those complaining about it being too stiff, don't have any strength in their arm or need to pump some iron, I don't know what else to tell ya...

Thus is so easy to use with quick clean up. It makes the most tender mashed potatoes. I cannot imagine going back to manual mash or hand beater. There is no risk of over-mixing the potatoes. Every time the potatoes come out creamy and smooth. ***highly recommend***

I recently added the Sopito Stainless Steel Potato Ricer to my kitchen arsenal, and it's been a revelation! Whether for a family dinner or a holiday feast, this ricer makes mashed potatoes smoother and fluffier than ever.Using it was a breeze—just place your cooked potatoes in the hopper, and with a simple squeeze of the handles, you get perfectly mashed spuds every time. I particularly love how sturdy and well-made it feels; the stainless steel construction ensures durability, even with heavy use.One evening, I used it to make mashed potatoes for a potluck. The ricer easily handled the volume and produced a light, creamy texture that everyone raved about. Cleaning up was also straightforward, thanks to its dishwasher-safe design. If you're serious about achieving restaurant-quality mashed potatoes at home, the Sopito Potato Ricer is a must-have. It combines functionality with a sleek design, making it a worthwhile addition to any kitchen.

I bought one of these styles of commercial ricers back in 1998 for professional use. The commercial model is overall a lot bigger and about 6 - 7 inches longer than the Sopito. Otherwise, both ricers are brother and sister. The Sopito ricer is similar in quality and build to the large commercial ricer. I only bought the Sopito ricer as my commercial ricer is a pain to store in the home kitchen as it is so big.Very happy with the Sopito ricer...highly recommended for home use! For commercial kitchens I'd recommend the real commercial ricer only because it has a larger capacity. Otherwise, both ricers produce the same quality mash.

Heavy duty compared to my expectations! Works great, easy to take apart for cleaning. Glad I bought this one. I was concerned I would end up with a flimsy, poor quality ricer but not so.

This is a life saver for mashed potatoes. I always dreaded making making mashed potatoes for every holiday meal (yes, a requirement!) The boiling heated the kitchen and then mashing them while they are still warm but drying out the excess moisture, being careful not to mix TOO MUCH or they'd get stuff and gooey... blah, blah, blah. Then I discovered baking the potatoes either in the oven or the microwave which is my preference (I have a potato button on my microwave. I slit the skin lightly from one end to the other for venting. My microwave will sense when as many add 6 potatoes are done 👍) I've used ricers for years after discovering the baking method, the round kind with the articulating plunger. It was quite a mess sometimes, aligning it all BUT with this ricer, it holds so much more and one quick grip and its perfect! I add the warm milk and butter and just STIR it in. This has made the process efficient and quick. Wish I could give it more stars because this is very well engineered and will last a lifetime. You can feel the quality the moment you pick it up!
