I have 3 indoor cats and 2 of them are quite pudgy. I have tried a lot of things to help them with weight management. They eat healthy food and we practice portion control. The oldest cat has been on a diet for 12 years. I keep their food on one floor and their bathroom facilities on another, so they are forced to climb stairs. They have a safe outdoor area set up for birdwatching and “tree climbing”.I bought this automatic red dot for them because they love red dot but when we play, my dogs also want to play and that ruins it for the cats. I was hoping that I weren’t involved then the dogs would ignore it. So I set this up where it has about a 12’ range and keep it set on “motion sensing”. I also keep it plugged in so it runs 24/7. The dogs started ignoring it on the first day. I’m happy to report that my cats have played red dot on and off every day since we got it. Sometimes it’s very low movement on their part and sometimes they chase red dot all across the floor but they all three play with it. I’m thrilled, the cats are thrilled, and the dogs don’t care. It’s a win for everyone!!Except my housekeeper. She forgets that it’s on and it freaks her out every time she’s here….

Got this as a Christmas gift for my cats. They loved it, but about a week ago, the laser quit moving. It just stays in one place. They can no longer play with it. Would’ve given it five stars if it hadn’t quit working correctly.

This toy is hands-down everyone's favorite. It can be installed almost anywhere. Charge lasts forever. Silent. The random pattern keeps our busiest 1-yr-old kitty fascinated and the senior cats interested too. Motion sensor and timer features are so handy. Our lazy selves are entertained watching the kitties enjoy it. Highly recommend!

My cat loves this product, works very well. The settings are nice, I typically use the long one and it will stay on all night. I keep it plugged in 24/7. Very easy to use cat toy!

This is a great cat toy! I’ve had this for a few months now and can say I am very happy with the purchase. At first I was concerned that the laser might hurt my cat’s eyes so I attached the base to a bookcase about 5’ from the floor so the laser is angled downward onto the floor. But the cats don’t stare into the laser and we use it only when the lights are on or it is daylight outside. The laser-head twists off very easily from the base to recharge. The laser-head can be adjusted easily and widely to aim in the most optimal position. The laser moves around in a way that is very engaging for the cats. I also like how it shuts off after no movement from the cats for a while, then comes back on when motion is detected. My cats look forward to playing with it every morning after they eat and also after dinner. I wouldn’t recommend leaving it on all the time because they start to ignore it. It’s great for when they want to play and you want to sit on the couch.The battery lasts a long time. A really great cat toy! Very well made!

I’ve owned 4 different style automatic laser cat toys, this one is by far the best. Random motion rather than simple circle motion is key for holding cat’s attention. Even if the cat isn’t actively chasing it, they enjoy watching the random motion which is enriching in itself. I love the different modes. We use the pink mode which is 12 hrs and will turn the laser on for 5 minutes at a time when it senses motion. Laser is bright enough for daytime use. The laser is quiet, I’ve had others where the motor was loud. Battery life is great (easily lasts days even weeks) and comes with a charging cable. This can clip on to tables in two ways. The clip on feature is important for us because we’ve had cats figure out the source and knock our other lasers off the table (breaking them.) If this ever breaks I will order a new one immediately.

I LOVE this thing and so does my cat. She played with it for hours yesterday. Read the manual. People say it doesn’t go very far, it goes a good distance. If it’s tilted up it goes fast and a good distance. If it’s aimed down it’s slower and doesn’t go as far. This thing gets a 10/10 from me. And I can leave it on while I’m at work so she has something to do. Motion detector works great. Every time she passes by it starts up again. 3 different settings with 3 different lights. Easy to use.

Definitely provides good entertainment value for the kitties of all ages. My only issue is I found was the settings are a bit confusing. It came with instructions and a sticker on the back but knowing what mode the toy is set too isn’t very clear. I’ve accidentally had it set on a mode to just run forever and well that wasn’t good. The battery did last about 5 hours straight which is decent. The sensor mode is the one I prefer to use and it does well at picking up motion. Overall it’s a decent cat toy.
