Are you a responsible adult? Do you want to keep you and your family alive? This is for you! It looks so much better than the old school detectors, and I love the easy to read humidity and temperature readings on the screen. (Even tho it gives my teenager an extra reason to tell me that it’s too hot in the house.) We have never heard it “work”, and hope to never have a leak in the house. But, if we do, I have full faith that it would let me know. The test button reveals a surprisingly loud tone that would wake even the deepest sleeper out of their slumber. Just plug it in and go, easiest installation ever!

Detector works fine. Just plugged into wall socket and no problems. Readability is easy enough and hopefully the detection levels are accurate.

It is reassuring to have proper safety measures in place. Our house was filled with carbon monoxide, and the wall-mounted detectors we had plugged in did not work. My husband and I began experiencing headaches and feeling nauseous. When we checked the portable detector, it read 60. It’s alarming to think that the levels could have continued to rise if we hadn’t discovered the issue. Fortunately, we were able to get it taken care of.

The carbon monoxide and humidity sensors seem to work. I put this detector in my shop, and it reads low levels of CO when my oil burner is going, and high levels sounding the alarm when I started my lawn mower next to it.The humidity reads similar to the weather forecast.However the local weather and other outdoor thermometers agree it's -1°F right now, and the temperature sensor on the carbon monoxide detector reads -50°F.I'll keep the item because the carbon monoxide detector seems to work and that's the main reason I got it, but I don't recommend the purchase, as the temperature display isn't remotely accurate. I'll pick another brand when I buy a few more to place inside my home.

Bought this CO detector for travel. Has built-in batter that has to be recharged. Seems like it can run for a few days on a single charge. There's battery monitoring, temperature and humidity readouts. Of course it has a CO readout with an alarm. You can set other alarms too. The carabiner clip and magnet are nice. Seems solid and well made.

I bought this to corroborate active carbon monoxide alarms and diagnose the source. It promptly registered upward of 250ppm CO next to our heater vents, with zero in clean outdoor air or at a friend's house. That's far into the danger zone, so we called an inspector from the gas company, who found nothing (his meter read zero), and later asked the fire department to take a look. The fire department used a meter that is calibrated daily against a 4-gas mixture that includes CO, and it read zero the entire time that they were in our house, including while up against a vent at the same time that my meter was reading 200ppm. We later discovered that the root cause of the alarms was that the units had turned 10 years old at the same time and so were sounding an "end of life" alarm. (Confusingly, this still lights up the "danger; move to fresh air" LED. But what are you gonna do.) The firefighter said conclusively, "there is no carbon monoxide in this house".Incidentally, the built-in thermometer was also off by about 10 °C.This was just about the worst failure mode for this situation. The fire chief said that we did exactly the right steps to calibrate the meter: observe zero in clean air, observe spike near potential source, observe zero when removed again. We even saw some lower spikes when a big truck would drive by. We presume that it's detecting something correlated to carbon monoxide but not actually CO. Our trusting this meter created a lot of stress for us and I cannot anti-recommend it highly enough.
