Bought this for a DIY pastel storage case and these work great. They are easy to cut to a desirable shape and protect my pastels really well.

Apologies once they open the package the vacuum still was extremely tighly sealed and the product was more as ordered when seal was released . sorry jumped the gun on opinion.

I was so shocked by how thin they were I busted out my micrometers - .2 inch, half of the claimed thickness. So re-leaned, read the reviews before ordering off amazon because they be scammin'.

Not quite as "strong and protective" as described. cushiony yes, very much so, as in it compresses to virtually nothing without much pressure. So if that's what you need to have something lightweight sandwiched between foam sheets, it's great, but not if you want it to protect something a little heavier it does not fit the bill.

As others have written, these are shipped in a vacuum container, very thin and flat initially. I let them expand over several days and the dimensions are not reliable. They are advertised as 0.4" thick (meaning 1cm - everything is manufactured in metric and converted to inches to sell here), but mine fully expanded to 0.35". This can make a difference if you expect any level of precision. The sheets mostly expanded uniformly, but are still mangled on the edges from the vacuum packing. Most disappointing of all was that the foam is not "high density" at all - just ordinary spongey foam that would have a hard time sustaining any weight.

The sheets are not consistent in thickness and none of them reach the full .4 inch thickness that was in the description of dimensions.

This is definitely not 0.4", more likely to be 0.4cm.Update: It expanded to about 0.4" after one day.
