We have many pendants and chandeliers in the house that hung on chains with the wire visible. Got tired of the look and they were always looking dirty and grimy. We removed the chains and replaced with these rods and love them! They add a modern touch to the fixtures and easier to clean.

As others have mentioned the threads and connector screws used on this are really poor quality making it easy for the assembled pole to unscrew or strip the threads of the aluminum connector screw. I went to buy replacement connectors but the thread pitch is slightly different than the standard used in lamps. I used blue locktite at first but the threads barely engaged to make a difference so I wrapped it in Teflon tape and it improved it slightly. I hope my chandelier doesn’t fall down.
