This chiller is a beast. I have the orca migaloo tub. I think it’s 85 gals and I keep the water at 38-40 all summer long. Pretty quiet and user friendly. Highly recommend. Mine is going on its 3rd summer.

We use this for our cold plunge. Maintains the temperature we set. This is in our basement not outside.

This thing does the job. That said, I have the ice bath from Costco that is about 111g I believe so this machine took about a day to cool it down to 50 degrees. Mind you, I have not set it much lower than that so not sure how that holds up. Getting into cold plunge and so far it’s been good. I can tolerate 50 so I’m happy with that setting. I showed some pics of my set up. I live where the humidity is almost above 50% daily and even into the 80s and 90s. For a smaller ice bath it may chill sooner obviously but I opted for this one due to the price point. If you can afford the ½hp chiller then do that. It’s easy to set up and adjust your settings. It does let off a decent amount of heat from the rear vents so keep that in mind if you are keeping it indoors. Don’t put it too close to any walls or anything that could get damaged from the heat. It’s not super hot and can touch the back without burning your hand. It’s warm air. It’s pretty quiet so that’s not an issue. Decently priced in my opinion but I have only used this one. I have been using this for about two weeks now and I enjoy it. I will upgrade the pump it came with though and use bigger tubing. That could help chill it faster a bit. Otherwise, it does the job and I like it.

I've had this chiller for over a year now and it's amazing. It stays outside on my covered porch and stays on 24/7 chilling my cold plunge and it works fantastic. Well worth the money and I'm glad I didn't spend more for a brand name chiller of the same quality. I run it with 80 gallon plunge and it keeps my water at set temp of 53 ferenheit. It's capable of going down to 32 degrees ferenheit.

ITS BEEN LESS THAN A YEAR AND IT STOPPED WORKING. UNIT WILL TURN ON BUT WILL NOT CHILL. FOR THE AMOUNT IT COSTED I EXCEPTED MUCH BETTER.

This was a so easy to assemble. I expected it to take a while to chill my water down, but in just a few hours, it was at the desired temperature. It's very quiet. Great value.

If you want to literally pour almost 600$ down the drain feel free to buy this peice of faulty equipment. Bought twice, should have known the first time. Stopped chilling after 1.5 years. Next one started heavily leaking with 6 months. And don't worry about buying a protection plan because no one on their companies side or amazons side can find it. Don't waste your money. I'm back to floating water bottles in my aqautic tanks switching them every 8 hours. It's been 3 days since first contacting them and it's apparent they aren't going to resolve the issue.

El termostato no está calibrado, te da otra temperatura, hace mucho ruido, se calienta demasiado y lo enfría. No lo compres

My salt water tank was getting too hot too frequently so I broke down and bought a chiller. It took about 4 hours to bring it down 7 degrees. It does generate a lot of heat but if it saves my reef then it's worth it. Easy to install even with the fact I had to make one trip to Home Depot to get connections for my tank. Would buy again.

Definitely needed for an axolotl tank this summer. Served it’s purpose and wasn’t terribly loud, but still quite expensive to purchase.UPDATE: no longer recommending this chiller. I ran it in the summer months only, so after nine months of use the power switch failed.I rushed to buy another chiller because I desperately need one. The new chiller rattles and wheezes, turns on way more frequently (every few minutes!). Sounds very sketchy. At this time I went back to my old chiller in hopes a wire just might be lose and it’s an easy fix… I opened the case and found burnt wires inside. After reading someone else having a literal fire shooting out at the same spot I found burnt wires. I no longer recommend this chiller
