I have custom room-darkening blinds and although they are on the older side, they still look amazing. However, over the years the cord started to fray. It took a couple YouTube videos and some patience, but I was able to restring them and they work like new.

Ordered this to replaced broken cord in blind. Strong and smooth, was good cord but it unfortunately was the wrong thickness and as such cannot be used since blinds rely on the spring clamp to hold them up. This cord was not same thickness as the other cords so the clamp would not fully pinch this cord when the other cord was also in the clamp. It could be used if the cord was for the blinds to shut open or close, but not to raise or lower the whole blind, not unless cords for both sides were the same width if that makes sense. Otherwise cord seems a good value.

Restrung some Levelor 'cordless' blinds. A real hassle to restring, but this was a perfect size and sturdy string.

I used this product to replace two cords on a Hunter Douglas Duette cellular/honeycomb blind after unsuccessfully testing the less expensive Cheriswlery brand purchased on Amazon. The PMLAND cord is vastly superior for this application, as it has no noticeable stretch or elasticity. A week after installing it, the blind is still hanging squarely and there is no twisting or entangling of the cords, as was apparent with the Cheriswelry brand within less than a day. The blind operates as smoothly as it did with the original Hunter Douglas cord, which is difficult to source in Canada and sells at a price about per foot ten times greater than this product. Online videos illustrate the straightforward process for restringing HD cellular blinds, of which we have 12 in our home. This roll will provide sufficient material to eventually do them all, as the original 25 year old cords fail over time.

I had been paying a blind repair shop in Baltimore $65 per blind for repair when the strings broke on our cellular blinds. During Covid, they went out of business, next day blinds was out of business so I ordered a repair kit from Amazon to repair my first two blinds. Ran out of string and needed more in this fit the bill perfectly. It is very easy to do these blinds, but top down bottom up lines with the four strings can be a little confusing. I think anyone can learn to fix there own blinds.

This cord was the correct size to replace the broken ones in my cellular shades, saving me a lot of money on replacements. Since my blinds are top-down-bottom-up style I needed a large spool to do the replacements on 3 windows, each needing 6 cords.Too soon to say how durable these will be. I did notice a good bit of splicing and twisted/wrinkled areas in the cord I received, I used it as-is so I will get to see how long this holds up under the strain of both the blinds and the hours of harsh east-facing sunlight. I will update if they fail. So far they're working just fine, flaws and all.The cord does have some stretch, however it was most noticeable when the cords had issues in the channels, so the stretch was an excellent indicator to me that I'd gotten something snagged in the works. The original cord it was replacing was a bit stiffer (different materials and tighter braid I think), however this one still works fine in the cord locks, so it just remains to be seen how it holds up to use (and abuse by teenagers and husband) and sunlight. There's a time investment here to replacing the cords, but it's completely worth the effort when a single replacement blind would have cost several hundred dollars. Note you'll need something (a piece of wire, a long sewing needle, etc.) to rethread the cord through the cellular portions in particular as well as something to flame the ends of the cord to keep them from fraying.

As per some of the other reviews, the cord is nothing like the original 1.2mm cord currently on my blinds. This cord measures 1.0 straight of the reel, and feels a lot less substantial. It seems it is missing the core strands and hence doesn’t feel as robust or as smooth as the original.Wish I hadn’t bothered with this order.

Nice strong cord even at 1.2 mm. Blind is fixed & works great.
