I was looking for a pump that I could plug into a smart plug and remotely activate to water seedlings while we're on vacation later this spring. In order to make sure I could turn it on and ensure that it turns off even if there was internet lag, I wanted to schedule the smart plug to turn on and off rather than turning it on and off manually from thousands of miles away. But I can only schedule it at a one minute granularity. For example, I can't program the smart plug to turn on and then turn off after only 30 seconds. Most pumps would pump WAY too much water in one minute, so I was looking for a pump that was low flow. I wanted to pump ~1.3 liters (44 fluid ounces) in one minute; maybe a little less. I also wanted the pump to be plug-in so I could put it on a smart plug, and it would have to be self-priming.Enter this cute little pump! It checks all my boxes. It was advertised to have a maximum rate of 1.3 liters per minute. I figured I could raise or lower the 2-gallon water bottle I would use as a reservoir to fine-tune the amount pumped in one minute. But it turns out I don't have to do anything. With the water bottle sitting on the floor, and the pump pumping water up to the folding table where I'll put my seedlings, it pumps just short of 1.3 liters in one minute. 40 ounces, to be exact.I was also worried that there might be a variable lag time between the time I turned the pump on and when it finished self-priming. I needn't have worried; with the hose completely empty of water I turned it on and it was pumping out water almost instantly. Like, in about 1 second. And speaking of the hose, it is soft and pliable. I HATE the hard stiff plastic tubing that most pumps ship with, but this hose is just the right mix of strong and pliable. And there was exactly enough of it for my needs.I rarely write a rave review without at least some small nit to pick. But this pump is simply perfect for my needs in every respect. To whomever designed it: THANK YOU!

I love it but it’s so small, it takes about 15 minutes to drain a 5 gallon bucket. I can’t use it for my current project, I bought a regular water transfer pump instead. But it’s a beast in its class, it’s one of the few that comes with an adapter. I plan on buying more for diy projects.

nice cost effective option. I use this for transferring cleaning fluids when the filth settles. the soot is to fine to filter so I use this to transfer the fluid without disturbing the soot laying at the bottom. Worked great for what I needed. With all the plastic you'd have to be aware of the chemicals possibly attacking the plastic. The tubing appears to be silicone and doesn't kink like the form clear plastic tubing that comes with some other models. The tubing is larger diameter so the force on the suction side didn't stir up the soot in the bottom of my cleaning solution and coming out same thing. The other pumps I tried tubing was smaller so force was greater.

I received this item through the Amazon Vine program in exchange for an honest review.I ordered this mini transfer pump because I and my neighbor both have wells which pump to a cistern. When the water table is low, the well pumps are such high volume (about 10-15 gallons per minute) that they quickly empty the well, shut off, and need to be reset. This small pump only pumps about 1 liter per minute, a bit more than a quart. Running this continually would produce 360 gallons in a 24 hour time frame... more than enough for a household, but within the recharge rate of the well. Running it on 12v solar panel during daylight hours would produce about 120 gallons in eight hours. It may be too much to ask this particular pump to stand up to constant use, but if it could even run for 8 hours continuously we would not have to truck in water as often. To test it, I set it up to recirculate water, pumping it up about 4 feet from a 5 gallon bucket, and sending right back into the same. As of this review, the pump has been running continuously (and virtually silently thanks to the silicone housing) for three days without any sign of wear. In actual use the intake would need to be surrounded by a screen and filter to prevent clogging of the pump. When the weather warms up we will do field trials. Even if this particular pump can't work long-term, it has proven the concept at a very inexpensive price. I'm pretty sure it will work fine for its advertised purpose.

This pump was used in a high altitude balloon experiment which made it to 100,000 feet an back down to earth to collect the data.

I wanted an easier more automated way to filter out lava lamp fluid instead of hand squeezing or pumping it through something.I use swayer filters and have the one end plugged into the hose while the other end goes into the lava lamp globe.I like the integrated on/off switch on the unit and it flows nice enough that it's not super powerful. I did NOT want a pump that would be pushing out gallons per minute. In my case that would be way to fast and I did not want pressure to build. This is less than .5 gallon per minute flow rate. So keep that in mind. This works really well for what I want it for and I love that. It's cheap enough where if something breaks, you can get another without having to kill your wallet.Comes with everything needed. Very easy to use, just don't run the pump too long without having fluid in it.

I have a Red Eyed Crocodile Skink and she needs high humidity in her tank. I put one of the tubes down inside the drainage layer underneath the substrate and it works awesome! I have the tube coming out the back of the tank and only turn it on when the water levels get high in the drainage layer. Sure beats having to disturb the entire enclosure!

I store my reverse osmosis water in 5 gallon plastic jugs. But those 40 lb jugs too heavy for me to handle. This little pump fills one gallon bottles from 5 gallon jugs in just a couple minutes. Flow slow enough to turn switch off before it overflows. Don't know how long it will last but solved a big problem for me. Love this mini pump.
