Built my own reverse osmosis system to concentrate maple sap, works great. Some times it’s a little hard to reprime but runs without problems for hours and hours at a time.

It worked for maple season. Then I set up the RO for household use to fill water cooler jugs. The pump failed in a couple months of very intermittent use. It did not make it more than 6 months. At this point I have not received any feed back from the manufacturer on a warranty claim, and it has been a couple of weeks. If something changes I will update this review.

A solid high quality pump made for high pressure applications. The purchases includes everything you need to get started right down to a wire harness for connecting the pump to an on/off pressure switch. The inlet and outlet fittings on the pump are 3/8" poly press to connect - 90° push to connect reducing elbows are included which will allow you to use this pump with 1/4" poly tubing if that's what you have. It includes a mounting base which has some vibration isolation to reduce noise transmission. Not annoyingly loud while its running, it's actually pretty quiet for a pump. It's been used for a few months so far and it works like a champ. Made in USA.

I installed a reverse osmosis system under my counter top but it didnt work because of low water pressure in my apartment, so I bought the booster pump to increase the pressure. It was easy to install. I also bought a pressure switch so that the booster pump would shut off when the desired pressure is reached. You can even adjust both the booster pump and the pressure switch with a small allen key. Be aware that if the pressure is not set right, the pump might keep running (won’t shut off automatically) because the system won’t reach the desired pressure. (it’s still not receiving enough pressure). Before we adjusted the pressure In the pump it stayed on and would not shut of. That happened because the system did not reach the minimum pressure settings of the pressure switch. Once we adjusted the little knob in the pump, pressure increase enough so the pump would shut off normally. (Be aware that we had already adjusted the pressure in the pressure switch)

I had to settle for this pump after the 8855 continued to fail. This is why they don't sell it on Amazon but on their own website and they DON'T refund your money for the defective pump! I was out $220 + tax! They just ignored my emails and discontinued the pump for a undetermined amount of time. Even though they advertise it functions as a stand alone aeroponics pump it over taxes the pump.

I bought this for my RODI setup. Thanks to one of the reviews, the first thing I looked for was the adjustment screw. It was there. The next thing I did was turn on the pump without any water connected to it for a few seconds - some musty smelling water from factory testing shot out. Not a problem. I was easily able to flush it.Fortunately for me since one of the reviews warned that this is set to too high a pressure from the factory, I connected this to my RODI setup and turned it on only momentarily to see my pressure gauge max out! Corrected by turning the adjustment screw anti-clockwise. It needed a whole turn to bring the pressure down to 80 PSI. It takes the smallest size hexagonal torx wrench.I strongly recommend you give it at least one full turn before you hook it up to your RODI setup to avoid damaging your filters or membrane or blowing the fittings out. Then adjust from there. Also, please note that this is a diaphragm pump. The output pulses a few times a second, making your output line shake a lot. So take that into account when you install this. Do not set this up directly on top of or in contact with your RODI setup. What I like:1. Solid. Well made. Same goes for the power suppl which consists of one large REAL transformer. Input 110 VAC, Output 24 VAC, 2 Amps. It's not a wall wart either. There's a couple of feet of cable going to the transformer and couple of feet of cable coming out of it.2. Near silent during operation. Just a hum, like an aquarium air pump.3. Adjustable pressure. What I don't like:1. Both the pump and the power supply get warm. I'm not concerned about the power supply because there's only a transformer in that and it'll be fine. It's winter and the pump should be fine too because water from my tap goes down to 45 F. I'm concerned that in the summer the pump might run a little hot but that's still 8 months away.
