Took out five times flies fishing. The last time I used it the thing broke right in the middle of the second section. Only thing a was doing was casting it out. Not happy at all with the quality of this product. Don't buy this or any of their rods.

completa, non serve altro che qualche finale e una clip per l'aggancio delle mosche, io sono riuscito a usarla dopo solo qualche minuto di prove, la coda di topo è sufficientemente lunga, la canna risponde bene alle sollecitazioni, in seguito guardando gli altri in cava devo dire che o rende veramente bene o tutti gli altri sono scarsi, a volte mi aggroviglio ma per le prime volte ci sta, consigliatissima

Update: I have taken this rod trout fishing a handful of times and I can now say with confidence it's held up great so far. I hooked into quite a few rainbows and browns over the course of these trips. One of the rainbows was probably over 16 plus inches and it gave me quite a fight before getting it in the net. If you are debating whether or not you want to fly fish I would just say do it. I started conventional fishing a few years ago and fighting a fish on the fly rod is so much more fun and technical than steadily reeling in a fish on a baitcaster or spin rod. Time will tell how long this rod holds up but for right now I don't see any reason why this isn't a great starter rod for the aspiring fly angler.I bought this rod to try out fly fishing since I've always been interested in learning how. I chose this rod largely because of the price for the reel, rod, and case. There were definitely cheaper options on Amazon but $80 for this combo is a great buy (plus I vastly prefer cork handles on rods). I recently took it out to my local pond to get the hang of it and I ended up catching over a dozen small sunfish and a bass not much larger than the sun fish lol. The rod held up great so far, though I've yet to hook hook anything over half a pound so we'll see how it does when I take it trout fishing this fall. Mine also came with and extra rod tip piece. The reel seemed to do just fine, though I'm used to spin reels and baitcasters so I can't really compare it to a Daiwa or an Abu. The reel also came pre-spooled with fly line and tapered leader and tippet. I didn't use the flies it came with, though I'm sure you could. This rod is a great buy for anyone looking to get into fly fishing, and maybe even for someone who has some nice Orvis rods or whatever and is just looking for a rod to keep in their car or something.

Arrived and looked fine but I didn't open and assemble because it's for my husband's birthday. He just opened it and it's missing the 3rd piece in the rod so it cannot be assembled. I will update this review if I get a fully functional product.UPDATE: After submitting my original review, I was contacted by the seller the next day. They were very nice and they sent a replacement rod which arrived about 10 days later. My husband is very happy with this rod, and is great for beginners to fly fishing.

Took this rod out a couple of days ago and was very pleased. The line and lures that come with it went straight into the bin but thats not a problem. Replaced the line with a greys shooting wf6 and the rod casts beautifully. Landed to trout on it and it plays very well too. Nice and lightweight and suits me very well. Is definitely my prefered rod to my 9ft Shakespeare agilty. Highly recommended this purchase.

Hoy nos ha llegado el paquete, se la compre a mi pareja porque tenemos mucha afición a la pesca, pero todavía no habiamos probado la pesca a mosca. En cuanto a la caña cabe decir que parece de buena calidad, me esperaba algo peor comparandolo con otras cañas que ya habiamos mirado. Este kit es muy completo, comprando todo por separado se nos ponía en un pico el material. La caña es muy ligera, es de 4 tramos, de fibra de carbono, muy bien rematada, en la descripción no le hacen justicia las fotos parece peor de lo que es. Cuando la hemos visto nos ha sorprendido. El carrete tambien parece decente, el hilo que trae no es gordo, ideal para este tipo de pesca. Mas adelante cuando probemos mas experiencias con ella compartire que tal nos ha ido. De momento genial, tiene todos los detalles muy cuidados. Trae una funda dura para guardar la caña y los accesorios (carrete, caja de moscas, y un apartado extra por si quieres meter otras cosas), viene muy bien protegida, y es cómoda de transportar en la funda pues viene con un asa. Viene con una caja con moscas (no parecen muy alla, pero oye por ese precio tampoco le dí importancia a las moscas), pero la caja está muy bien para poder meter bastantes moscas aparte de las que trae. Como detalle que me ha encantado esque han incluido un puntal extra (osea el ultimo tramo de caña entero) que siempre se suele dañar con el paso del tiempo y los golpes. Y aparte de la funda, trae una funda interior para poder guardar el tramo de cada caña por separado para que sufran ningún daño. El embalaje en una caja grande con mucho papel de periodico para que no sufra impactos y el envío perfectos. La hemos comprado para iniciarnos, y seguramente compraré otra.

Was definitely a greenhorn when it came to fly fishing. I got this rod reel combo with the case and I couldn't be more pleased! I did look up some great videos on how to cast, set the hook, and fight the fish and all that. I bought this rod to go to Alaska with my dad and two brothers. We did some halibut fishing and all that and it was awesome, but I was so excited to break this rod out on some rivers and small lakes in the Denali wilderness. We made our way out there and we stopped at a smaller lake with some Arctic Grayling. At first I got frustrated because my casting was mediocre and I would snag bushes, but once I got the hang of it I finally hooked up on some fish!! I landed 6 Graylings and the rod responded so well with the hookset and the fight. I am from Minnesota and I plan to fish for some panfish, but this coming spring I will be going to Pennsylvania to trout fish. All in all this rod is amazing for the money. Great line, awesome flies included, good responsive durable rod. For sure recommend.

So I am adjusting my review in lieu of the pretty great customer service provided by Plusinno.The first rod that came with the package broke right at the tip within the first few hours, before I ever even had a chance to use it. Plusinno responded early the next morning and shipped me a brand new Rod with TWO end pieces for free. So I have ended up with two complete rods! I finally took this one out to the Skykomish river to give a go, and it felt great - Ultra light, but very sturdy with good action. I will be taking it with me up into the Alpine Lakes Wilderness next week. From what I can tell I simply got a defective rod on the first go, and now I have an excellent product.

Initial disappointment. Top piece of fly rod just broke in half before first cast. It was not bumped or stressed, just broke in half. Never saw anything like that before. Did not work for 1 cast. Amazon box was not damaged upon arrival, must have been broke/damaged when shipped from factory. Now at lake for 2 days with bluegills biting and no working fly rod. Back to the ultralight spinning rod. I'll revise rating if a replacement fly rod actually works. With so many good reviews which caused me to purchase, this must be a complete hit or miss product. 100% total miss with this defective rodUPDATE: Seller contacted me by e-mail the next day after seeing this poor review and has offeredy to ship a new fly rod. Customer service in action. I'll update this review after receipt and use of the new fly rod.UPDATE: new fly rod received. Looks nice. I'll update after testing it out. Since we are in a mid-west heatwave, that may be in a couple of weeks. But, KUDOS to the customer service department and changed rating from 1 to 3 stars pending testing this puppy out.UPDATE: new rod is a winner. Nice set up. Nice action and long casts. Gave it the ultimate test by fishing a South Bend popper (set of 6 from Amazon strongly recommended) when feeding pellets to catfish. Brought in two 8-10 lb cats after big rod bending and drag torture fights. Very happy now. Cats were released to be fed again.

Great price, good quality. I would like to have seen a better quality backing and the supplied fly box was falling apart when i opened it for the first time.The rod its self feels nice in the hands and the reel is nice and smooth. the drag even works pretty well.Mine even came with a second tip section, i am guessing that they had complaints about them arriving broken or something.
