Instructions were clear and easy to follow. Haven’t used the table clamp yet but clamped to the rods, removed and respooled three rods without needing someone to hold the spool. Will work with small or large spools of line. Well worth the money.

This was an awesome purchase! Not only do I save significant cash spooling my own reels but now I can save the line for my inshore reels. I keep my unused spools and put the line I'm taking off my offshore reels for inshore use. The spooler clamps to the rod and has adjustable tension so you can wind em tight and firm to avoid wind knots. Easily one of the best purchases I have made for my fishing gear!

I just used this to spool up a new spinning reel and once I got it set up correctly it was super easy. I’m sure the next reel will be a piece of cake. A few tips, make sure you have the line coming off the new spool by the pole. If you attach the unit to the rod and the reel is down, it will be at the top of the spool. Second, unless you have a large rod, you’ll need to flip the adapter clamp around to get a tight fit. See picture.Overall this worked well to put on some new line. My only concern is how well this will prevent line twist on a spinning reel as the spool doesn’t twist around while it lets out line like on other models. This may be ok for a baitcaster though.
