I just got a new computer, and was very disappointed that it was only driving my 4k monitor at 1080p resolution. The monitor only has HDMI inputs, but with this adapter I was able to connect it to the DisplayPort output of the computer and get full 4k. So happy there was a simple fix to the problem!

My HP workstation had display ports and my monitor only had HDMI. This little adapter has worked flawlessly. It says Active and it is active. Was able to display output right from boot time when the HP logo first appears.I had a display adapter that works when Windows loads (I get the display only when Windows loads but not at boot time) but I needed to get into the boot menu for which I need an active DP to HDMI adapter. Needless to say, this little adapter does what is advertised, active DP to HDMI conversion.

I have a Dell WD19 dock and a Dell WD22TB4 dock for my work laptop (a 2023 Dell Latitude) and have the infamous blanking screen issue with both docks. Now both external monitors are HDMI and the docks are DisplayPort. I originally tried passive converter cables and still had the blanking issue. Then I used these with HDMI cables and the issue is ALMOST gone. The blanking used to happen several times a day now it happens more like once or twice a week or so. Strangely the 2020 WD19 works better than the WD22.Also on a side note the lack of a TB4 driver for Windows 11 means that the WD22TB4 does not utilize the Thunderbolt 4 protocol (only works as a USB 4 device) so many that's the issue.Anyway these adaptor cables stopped me from buying new monitors so I do recommend them if you are using HDMI monitors on a Dell dock.

This was the final piece of tech I needed to get my multiple displays set-up using my Steam Deck and a 7-in-1 docking station from JSAUX. My secondary display supports HDMI mini and USB-C. Using this adapter alongside a simple HDMI mini adapter worked a treat.

I needed a DP to HDMI adapter that would support DisplayPort Multi-Stream Transport (MST). This one worked for me where several others did not. My understanding is that MST implementations are finicky, and it may take trying lots of different alternatives to get one to work. So this may or may not work for you. My specific configuration is an HP EliteBook G5 laptop that has Intel Iris Xe graphics. I'm using the DP over USB-C from the laptop to attach to a Dell UltraSharp U2723QE monitor as the first display in an MST daisy-chain. The second and only other monitor in the daisy chain is attached with this adapter to the DP-Out port on the Dell monitor. That monitor is an an HDMI-only Eyoyo (yeah, I know) EY-ZB0406MG 5" 800x480 monitor that I'm using for a small above-screen teleprompter. Passive DP-to-HDMI cables definitely won't work (they can't decode the MST, obviously) and I tried at least the CableMatters 102021 Active DP to HDMI adapter. That one sort-of worked, but I had to toggle MST on the Dell monitor off and on again each time I connected to the display or else the HDMI monitor's display was garbled. (It looked like the signal to the HDMI monitor looked like it was out-of-sync/phase, or wrong bit-depth... something was not right. You could make out some images, but no way usable.) So that was no good. This one worked flawlessly with my setup. Your mileage may vary, but for me, this did the trick. Don't do many reviews, but since I couldn't find any adapters willing to say that, yes, they have a robust DP MST implementation, thought I'd share in the hopes this helps someone else. Good luck!

This active adapter works really well. BUT you should check your requirements and setup, because I made the mistake of buying another less expensive uni-directional passive adapter (also for display port to HDMI) with 4K capability, and that does not work. Check that your display is *not* 4K and that the adapter you buy is active, like this one. I highly recommend it.

Worked exactly as expected. Arrived on time although I was not notified when it shiped but did get notified the day before it arrived. It was shipped USPS which may explain the poor notifications and tracking info. The adaapter is good quality and worth the little extra money over the less expensive options.

This adapter works wonderfully. In general,• DisplayPort 1.2 supports up to ≈HDMI 1.4 speeds through passive adapters, or up to HDMI 2.0 speeds through active adapters.• DisplayPort 1.1 supports up to HDMI 1.2 speeds through passive adapters, or up to HDMI 1.4 speeds through active adapters. In addition to allowing my GTX 780 Ti (DisplayPort 1.2) to get full HDMI 2.0 speed (4K 60 Hz 4:4:4), it also allows my DisplayPort 1.1 laptop to get full HDMI 1.4 speed (4K 30 Hz / 1080p 144 Hz), which was a nice surprise. It also works for converting DisplayPort 1.3/1.4 ports to HDMI 2.0 as well. Adapter was plug-and-play for me, no problems to speak of so far.Note that this adapter is for converting a DisplayPort source to an HDMI display, it will not work (at all) for connecting an HDMI computer/laptop/console to a DisplayPort monitor.EDIT: Actually after some further testing, it seems that it doesn't support over 60 Hz at 1080p from a DisplayPort 1.1 output. Although it allows me to select 100 Hz / 120 Hz / 144 Hz, it actually is still operating at 60 Hz and just skips frames. It does work at 1080p 144 Hz from a DisplayPort 1.2 and 1.4 output though, which is still more than advertised. I tested it with a high-speed camera and verified it does work at 1080p 144 Hz without any frame skipping as long as you have DisplayPort 1.2 or more.EDIT 2: Actually, the problem turned out to just be a pixel clock limitation on the Intel HD 3000 graphics chip I was testing with. I tested again with an NVIDIA Quadro NVS 4200M (also DisplayPort 1.1) and it did work properly at up to 1080p 144 Hz from that chip. For clarity, these are the configurations I have tested using this adapter:GTX 1080, DP 1.4 -> HDMI 2.0, 4K 60 Hz RGB (= 4:4:4) — PassGTX 1080, DP 1.4 -> HDMI 1.4, 1080p 144 Hz RGB — PassRX 480, DP 1.4 -> HDMI 2.0, 4K 60 Hz RGB — PassRX 480, DP 1.4 -> HDMI 2.0, 4K 60 Hz RGB — PassGTX 780 Ti, DP 1.2 -> HDMI 2.0, 4K 60 Hz RGB — PassGTX 780 Ti, DP 1.2 -> HDMI 1.4, 1080p 144 Hz RGB — PassIntel HD 3000, DP 1.1a -> HDMI 1.4, 1080p 100 / 120 / 144 Hz RGB — Fail (60 Hz with frame skipping)NVS 4200M, DP 1.1a -> HDMI 1.4, 1080p 144 Hz RGB — Pass
