1. Plug and Play
Plug in the power directly, the alarm will count down 60s warm-up, the countdown is over, only the green indicator light is on, indicating that it has entered the normal working state
2. Press SELF-TEST Button
After power, press the SELF-TEST button, if there is a Sound and Light warning, it means that the alarm works normally.
3. 85dB Alarm Sound and Light
Combination gas and carbon monoxide detector will alert you immediately when the combustible gas or carbon monoxide concentration reaches the default value.

This may give off a beep sound that dogs only hear. Our dog was triggered by a sound we couldn’t hear. Had to unplug. :/

The device gets warm from being plugged in so the temperature is several degrees off. Other than that, it’s fine.

We used this CO and gas detector in our small motorhome on a recent 2 month trip. It is easy to use, and simple to move around but it only works when on shore power. The display is always on so not great for sleeping in a small room. Now that we are home heated by a gas furnace, it is working full time. I have to assume it is accurately measuring for the gases because we have had no problems and it has not sounded its alarm. At least with this monitor you can see a display that indicate the gas concentration. Our other monitor there is no display just a red light on all the time. It also has never sounded its alarm.
