Works well to protect but not able to be used while using the Xbox it will overheat.

I bought this product after learning it was labeled one of the top 10 worst aftermarket products for consoles. However, I live in a DUSTY area. So, a dust cover would help with keeping my device cleaner for longer. So this is perfect for my living arraignments. It also does look nice as an alternative to the exposed console itself, and in some cases helps protect it from uncertain random events.(F.Y.I: The main reasons it was labeled “bad” was because people left the covers ON while PLAYING and overheated! DO-NOT-DO-THAT!!! You’re blocking air intake and heat ventilation!!! It shouldn’t be said that one must take the covers OFF when you want to game!!)

The cover is very high quality feeling/looking and fits the Series X perfectly--not so tight that it's a struggle to get on, and not so loose that it billows out around the sides. It's very form-fitting. The cutout to accomodate the cables is really a must-have, and this has that as well. As others have said, just be sure you have your power mode on the Xbox set to "Shutdown" and NOT "Sleep," or else the Xbox will still be running when you put the dust cover on and heat will immediately build up and cause issues. See attached photos.

Its a dust cover, I mean what could go wrong. I had no rips or tears. If you get a bad sew then I get it.Mine was fine, Just do forget to remove before turning on Xbox. Seems common sense - but useing remote to turn on box when I have it on my side table & not remembering you have the cover on it. I've only forgot 1 time, Now I just leave remote on top on Xbox/cover so I remember now.

A lot of people are skeptical about dust covers, seeing them as useless. Personally I like them especially since the Series X has those huge holes on top. This cover fits the console perfectly and keeps my console dust free and protected from the sun since the sun hits my living room pretty strong. I do recommend to set up your console to fully shut down and not on standby as it can cause some over heating. Other then that it is a magnificent product and highly recommend it.

While the headline is a given, most people don't know that when they use the "power off" feature the console is really NOT powering off completely. If this happens and you place the cover over the console, it can overheat and cause a potential fire. Yes, use the product BUT make sure you do the COMPLETE shut down.Sure, you will have to wait a little longer to jump into a game but you won't be shortening the lifespan of the console. If you want to completely shut down the console completely....1) Hit Xbox icon on your controller2) Go to Home3) Go to settings (shows a cog wheel)4) Under the "General" tab; go to "Power Mode and Startup"5) Scroll down to "Full Shutdown" and select it.6) Confirm your selection of a full shutdown.Once the console is fully shutdown then you can place the dust cover on. Just make sure to take the dust cover OFF before powering it back on via the Xbox controller or pushing the Xbox button on the console. Why Microsoft XBox corp makes a full shutdown require so many option selections is beyond me.
