I purchased this bolt socket extractor set to remove an oil drain plug for my 2007 Honda Fit Sport that I felt the Midas franchise OVER torqued!As I was trying to change my my oil, I ended up stripping the size 14mm oil drain plug and was stuck with not knowing how to get this off. After watching just one Youtube video where a guy ironically with the same issue on the same model year car, he recommended the "PlatinumEdge" extractor tool to remove the bolt. So after ordering it on Amazon and receiving the shipment, I went on to try and remove the bolt. I followed the directions from the video and with a little muscle, i was able to tap it onto the head of the bolt to lock in place and proceeded to remove the bolt with a 3/8in socket wrench. Once I "cracked" the bolt, I was able to hand spin the bolt off from that point. Only problem was the socket was still locked onto the bolt. I used a vice grip to hold the socket in place to then use a screw driver narrow enough to tap the bolt out of the socket.If you are a DIY'er, this is a great set to have.**This set does not come with any socket wrench. You have to use your own 3/8 wrench which will fit on these sockets.

I have used all different types of extractor sockets from From snap and Mactools.I’ve had this for a while now and they still work great I would recommend these extractors to anyone

I was skeptical because of the price, but due to some pretty solid reviews I decided to pick up this set for a stripped out tensioner bolt. It took the bolt out QUICK. It took me longer to get my big hands into the engine compartment than it did actually using the extractor. Since I’ve bought abused the heck out of the set and the durability is extremely impressive. Nice case, works like a champ, great price, seems durable so far. Can be used with a 3/8” drive ratchet/breakerbar or a wrench if your tight on space. A purchase I’m happy I made.

Used this to remove my stuck, rounded, well rusted bolts on the battery tray of my 2005 Sprinter. If you know these vans, they rust like no tomorrow. This set beat the quality and the effort vs the Quinn set from Harbor Freight. Buy these and give them a try first. Save you time and effort vs the Harbor Feeight Set for similar price.

We ran into a rounded oil drain plug and needed an Extractor Tool Set - this set was cheap af and we figured we'd destroy it getting the bolt out but not only did it work like a champ, the bit remained intact and the kit has become a shop staple for the last couple of years. Great for removing rounded bolts and nuts. I've been recommending this specific set ever since. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This set was a life-saver!! I was replacing the transmission mount on my 2005 F150 with the 4R70E transmission and just couldn't get the transmission mount bolt on the driver side to budge. I started by heating the bolt head then using a breaker bar, but the darn thing didn't budge. Instead all of the various sockets I tried on the bolt kept slipping and eventually I tried a very powerful impact wrench and this just smoothed the edges of the head of the bolt, so much so that normal sockets were no longer gripping. I was stuck for days and days. I ordered this set and used the 13mm socket, heated the opposite end of the bolt and tapped this socket on with a hammer, inserted the breaker bar and with some force it finally moved and I was able to take it completely out with a low level impact wrench after that. The other side i.e. the passenger side bolt was difficult as well but no where nearly as difficult as the driver side and so this kit, really literally saved me loads of stress, time and money. I highly, highly, highly recommend you getting it. It was even more impressive that it worked great the very first attempt. Having to push and use it in an upwards direction from under the vehicle and looking up, and not having a more favourable horizontal or downward position, makes it even more impressive. I absolutely love this kit!! Added to all that in my opinion the build quality is very good - none of the sockets looked or felt flimsy when I inspected them and the proof's in the pudding....it works extremely well!!
