This chair has made Mom (early 90s, with some dementia) be much more willing to shower. Several years ago we had the shower area remodeled so there was only a 3" lip to step over, plus we had an in-shower shower chair and many grab bars to assist. But over the past 12 months or so, Mom has been adamantly against taking a shower, sometimes getting quite hysterical about it - she was afraid she was going to fall. This bench has been a godsend! I still get token resistance up front, but I remind her that she won't need to stand at all. She is able to sit in the chair, I rotate her and glide her into the locked position in the shower area; we shower her, then I return her back to the original position. I dry her while she's still seated, then once she's ready she stands up and is able to come out of the bathroom. She has significant mobility issues and largely uses her arms to sit down and stand up, and I appreciate that the seat is pretty high and that the chair is very well made, so I don't worry as she's putting all her weight on her arms and the arms of the chair. It's a bit unfortunate that there are no holes in the seat to allow drainage of water, but that's a small issue. The chair is pricey but well made and definitely worth the value - it definitely makes Mom feel safer on shower days.

I just ordered this chair for my 88 yr old mom. I was very skeptical before it came but once I put it together(which was not difficult if you follow the instructions) I quickly realized how amazing the chair is. The chair swivels and slides with ease. It can be lowered to accommodate shorter individuals. It is sturdy and does not slip. I am very impressed with this chair. It’s a huge help to my mom AND to me as her caregiver. Thanks to whoever designed this helpful chair!!

I purchased this for my elderly mother, and I am so glad I did. It is very well made and sturdy. It was easy to assemble and can accommodate different size showers/tubs. It is also adjustable to my mother's height. The swivel seat moves smoothly. It feels very secure with my mom in it and she weighs just over 200lbs. The chair has been a blessing allowing my mother to feel safe, and more independent. She has increased her frequency of showers because of it and that makes her feel better about herself. It's worth the cost. As a nurse I've seen individuals suffer from skin tares and falls using flimsy hard plastic chairs. I didn't want that for my mom.

Family member had hip surgery. This makes getting into the shower/tub much easier and safer. Thought we were going to have to remodel and get a walk in tub. The chair is very sturdy, chair turns easily, and glides smoothly. A reviewer called this the “Cadillac” of shower chairs. I agree. We already had a shower chair, but it did not fit in the tub. Part of this fits in the shower and the other part sits outside the tub. We have family member stand and they can hold on to the handles for balance or can quickly sit if they get tired. If you are careful, can give someone a shower and not too much water spills out. This is worth every penny.

Overall functionally of this transfer bench is good. We have a small bathroom and I was surprised how well it fit on our tub. It was easy and quick to put together and it arrived in a week. The knobs for sliding and swivelling could be a little bigger. The sliding and swivelling motion was smooth. It’s a little pricey but If you can afford this bench it is a good investment. I would highly recommend this transfer bench.

This piece of equipment is the "Cadillac" of shower chairs. It swivels and locks and glides so smoothly, making it a dream to help a disabled person into, in, and out of the shower! The quality of the design, workmanship and functionality is outstanding. It is strong, sturdy, adjustable and stable. My only complaint with it is that the seat stains easily. I would never have imagined this, since the product description states, "The medical-grade, closed-cell molded polyurethane padding on this shower chair for the bathtub will not absorb any water and is easy to clean and disinfect." But while caring for my horribly compromised, invalid mother who had to be hoyer-lifted out of bed and into this chair, she had a fecal incontinence accident while in the shower. (Sorry for the visual) The matter STAINED the seat of this chair - and though I tried to clean it right away - I was never able to affect the stain - not even a little bit. It is as though the matter permanently dyed the seat. At this point, I have tried everything to remove the stain, but nothing works or even helps. It is still a smooth, well designed, sturdy and functional chair. It just has a royal blue seat with a significant brown-colored stain. :(I would still recommend this shower chair to anyone who needs this type of equipment. I don't believe there is a better option on the market. I plan to reach out to the manufacturer and request a replacement seat. However, there is no guarantee that the same situation would never re-occur.

Nicely made. Another UK buyer mentioned that they received no reply from the company regarding leg extensions. I had a similar experience. Which prompted me to source aluminium tubes locally. 30 outside diameter by 2mm thick for the horizontal; 28 by 1mm for the legs. Perhaps not 330lb capacity but ok for me. 9mm drill.

I've only had this fantastic device for a couple of weeks. What I have learned is that it is very easy to use. It instills a degree of confidence that even though you may be temporarily handicapped you can still have a degree of independence that is awesome. This device is a well thought out, completely sturdy, method of getting in and out of a shower that is also a bathtub. Because the seat swivels, transferring to the seat is made exceptionally easy. As you approach the seat it is facing out of the bathtub allowing you to transfer as if it were a normal chair. The makeup of this transfer chair is exceptionally sturdy and reliable for your use.It seems that all of the buttons and levers are where they need to be regardless of the potential embarrassment of having to reach between a persons legs in order to trigger the ability to slide the chair in and out of the bathtub. I think the primary users of this chair will be persons that are disabled in some way but can still fend for themselves to one degree or another.I love the independence this transfer chair gives me. I feel it's an exceptional value for the quality and usability it provides. Because I had read several comments that involved the seat being seen as slippery, I purchased some of the tape that can be used as a non slip surface in bathtubs and on stairs. I feel the seat, with the tape, is not slippery at all, even with soap and water being used while on the seat.I definitely give this bathtub transfer chair the five stars it deserves.

La escasa movilidad de la persona le impedía incluso entrar en la ducha. Con esta silla todo ha cambiado.Desde luego, la recomiendo.
