Repeated exposure to engine heat up to 500°F will fuse engine enamel to the surface to increase bonding strength. Easy to use, this enamel is fully resistant to oil and gasoline, and will not weaken, crack, lift or peel, with exact color matches to original engine manufacturer standards. This is the answer for engine restorations and similar applications where a tough, high heat finish is required.

It is not Plasti-Kote, it is Dupli-Color green. I went out of my way to buy Plasti-Kote because it lasted so long last time. I'm not sure if this will last but it is the same color.

A good quality and name you can trust. Very easy to spray and no problems with the nozzle. It lets a long time and does not come off easily. Would say that will hold up against the elements

I've rebuilt many mopar engines over the years and tried many different paints (Duplicolor, Mopar, Rust-o-Leum, spray-booth paint) and this was the best covering, best shining, and most durable paint I've run across....other than using a quart of paint & a spray nozzle. So for a rattle-can paint, I definitely would go with this again!

This was bought to paint a 1972 Ford Ranchero 6.6l 400m motor and parts during a rebuild. This paint covered the metal very well, didn't have any run issues when sprayed, and the dried color is excellent. The color matches the original blue OEM valve covers perfectly.

Bought 2 cans, glad it was available on Amazon because I couldn't find it anywhere else and it's good quality paint and an exact color match--IF you shake the cans enough. I'm familiar with the rattle can, we go way back. These needed to be shaken for a looonnnnggggg time. When you don't do it, you get dark blue that eventually goes to the correct light blue. Other than that, this was a great product.

First, the color produced by the paint is well-represented by the cap color, but keep in mind that onscreen color might be different from paint color, which is monitor-dependent and subject to such variability. Second, I was not painting an engine, I was painting a baseboard heater, therefore I wanted a heat-resistant paint. Because it is still summer/fall, I am assuming the paint's efficacy for when I turn on the heater. One important point. If you plan to paint bare metal (which I did after stripping off damaged paint), be aware that you will also need a heat-resistant primer. Luckily, that type of product is easier to find than color variety for the finish coat. With that said, the end result looks great, even though the color match for the top of the heater was the only part that needed attention. A slight duo-tone color even adds to the attractiveness, at least that's what we're telling ourselves. Seriously, I find no flaw with the paint as delivered. Even the cap was easy to open, as it simply rotates 1/4 turn to expose the nozzle. Now, if it holds up to the heat, I am a fan.

Paint is okay and the PlastiKote brand is generally okay, in this instance the color does not match the cap and the nozzle on this particular version of can is way too broad. I think they sacrificed a good spray pattern in return for a 'locking' can that is hard to spray in the store.
