Salt, sand, brake dust and rocks severely damage the appearance and protection of the wheel surface. This unique product resists chipping, cracking and fading, while protecting the wheel surface from oxidation.

I used it to paint my calipers and liked the spray flow of the can so I bought 2 black ones for my wheels along with the clear coat and let me tell you this is the best paint I’ve used. The spray flow is much better than traditional spray cans, it laid the material down smooth and the clear coat flattened to a crystal clear finish overnight. They look like they’ve been painted with a quality hvlp sprayer but they are just cans! I’m using VHT products from now on they are the best!!

The key is to prep wheels well and follow instructions. I applied 3-4 light coats to wheels and they look great.

The color of the wheels on my vehicle needed to be changed into something a bit more aesthetically pleasing and VHT came highly recommended. Scuffing the wheels and then a thorough cleaning before spraying gave wonderful adhesion. Allowing the paint to set overnight seemed to work well as the vehicle was then driven w/o any issues with the paint. The paint has stood up to everyday wear and tear though it did get a bit nicked when having new tires installed but that was easily corrected with a few passes of the rattle-can. A quick spray with the hose and this looks as fresh as can be.Could a cheaper can of spray work? I don't want to find out. The VHT did what it was supposed to do in an easy and timely manner.

Did the job I needed to do.... Used it to paint my motorcycle tank and front guard... Perfection and no issues... Chip resistant and no fading. Recommend to use the vht clear gloss paint to give a beautiful finish

Be patient both:1) when spraying. this is thinner than paint and if you spray too much at a time it WILL run/drip. Instead, be patient and do a couple light coats with 10 mins between them. Its better to spend the time and do 5 thin coats, than to rush and do a coat too thick and mess up your whole job when it drips.2) Curing: this takes a WEEK to cure. I live in Texas, its hot, and my wheels were in the garage 3 days. At that point I could, and did, put a scratch in the clear coat and VHT paint on my rim with my fingernail. Be patient and if your able to, dont drove or allow anything near the wheel for a week. After 7 days, these felt like new wheels from the factory.PRO TIP: My rims came out looking amazing. BUT, I wanted extra protection and shine. After it cures, a week minimum after painting / clear coating, you can wet sand this with 1500-2000 grit sandpaper to smooth it out. After you do that you can a. add more clear coat if your paranoid like me. OR, add compound and buff this. This will make the wheel really pop.Again, just spraying and allowing it to cure looked great. the wetsanding and polishing is for extra shine / smoothnessenjoy

This is excellent wheel paint. It seems to cover better than common aerosol can spray paint. I used it to re-coat our 2004 Toyota Tacoma truck wheels after sanding and cleaning them. I used about three full cans, maybe a little over, for all four wheels and kept one can for touchups, if needed. Going on three months now and this daily driver's wheels still look as good as the day I remounted them. Very satisfied. It was time for new tires so the tire dealer worked with me on this project. At home, I jacked up the track, set it on jack stands, removed all four wheels, and the tire dealer removed the tires for me. Took the wheels home, sanded, and cleaned them. Applied the VHT primer, let it sit overnight and applied the top coat. They came out beautiful and look like new wheels. The tire dealer then mounted the new tires and I took my "new" wheels and tires home and remounted them. They look beautiful and have really enhanced the look of the truck, like wearing new shoes. But, like any painting project, it is the preparation that can make or break the outcome so be sure the surfaces to be painted are rust free, sanded, and clean before applying the paint.

I used the VHT clear over the VHT black wheel paint after letting the black dry 30 minutes as instructed on the can. After 2 light tack coats I tried to get a medium wet coat but it wouldn't flow very good. The more I put down the more it looked milky. Normally milky looking clear is due to moisture or cold surface temps but I shot my wheels on a day that was 80 degrees ( in the shade ). To try and salvage my work I moved them into the direct sun and let them bake as the day warmed to 95 degrees. This indeed saved the day and now the wheels look great with a nice gloss black. The heat curing helped eliminate the dry spots on the sides of the spokes too. Polyurethane should dry hard but time will tell. I'm going to let them cure for a few more days in the direct sun. BTW it took one can per wheel of both color and clear. I was able to prime each wheel with a half can of primer. My only complaint is that I had to clear the spray head more that I would have liked - keep a can of lacquer thinner close.Overall I'm happy with the results on my wheels using rattle cans. You would be hard pressed to tell them from powder coated wheels.
