How to fix a hole in plastic?

Works great, needed to plastic weld a fender clip to my tacoma. Worked wonders. Plastic is nice and strong after it cooled down. Would buy again !

Great kit. Hot stapler works amazing, but the soldering iron might be a fire hazard. The tips are hard to keep in place you really gotta crank those little screws down to even hold the tip in. Ended up breaking both screws eventually. The shank of the tool heats up wayyyy before the tip and the tip takes like 30 minutes to heat up. However the hot stapler is ready pretty much the second you pull the trigger.

I've had to deal with cracked plastic fenders for years with poor results from my attempt at repairs. This kit worked great. The best part was the metal wire "stitches". It was easy to use and worked beautifully. The heating iron to melt the plastic was just ok. It really didn't get hot enough to get the plastic to melt. In a YouTube video I watched, it recommended preheating the plastic with a separate heat gun before trying to melt with the iron, but I was not able to do that step. That could have made the difference. I still chose to give it five stars because the rest of the kit worked so well. After my repair job, you could obviously still see the crack but the hot staples really helped restore some structural integrity to the fender.

It works as advertised but it would be better if you could control the head on the soldering iron (plastic welder) because it gets to hot for some applications.
