Birdwell Enterprises' dog muzzles are designed to be comfortable and durable for extended and demanding use over the years. We offer various colors to choose from so you can have a dog muzzle that fits your style. Our dog muzzles are designed to prevent biting and nipping while allowing your dog to eat, drink and breathe without restriction. We use a heavy-duty plastic-coated nylon strap that is machine riveted for extra strength and durability over the years. Our basket muzzle for dogs can be placed in hot water and molded for a perfect fit on your dog. Run cold water over the dog muzzle afterward to hold the shape. The entire dog muzzle is waterproof and can even be placed in the dishwasher for convenient cleaning and disinfecting after use with your dog. Each dog muzzle is designed and built with a smooth surface inside to prevent chafing and includes a stainless steel buckle for even greater reliability, weighing 3.85 ounces. Each dog muzzle has a smooth self-adjusting nosepiece that spreads the contact area on your dog's nose to prevent rubbing and chafing, adding enhanced comfort for your dog while the dog muzzle is in use. You can add foam weather stripping or moleskin to the nosepiece if your dog requires it. After the buckle is adjusted, the dog muzzle can be easily slipped over the dog's ears, so you don't have to adjust the buckle with each use. There is no uncomfortable strap between the eyes to cause the dog to fight wearing the dog muzzle. Soft silicone dog muzzles allow a dog to press against an object and bite or chew through the muzzle. Our dog muzzle does not allow that to happen. We also offer a stool guard (sold separately) that can be used instead of a cone after surgeries to prevent licking. Please note that our dog muzzle will fit most breeds but not all. Our dog muzzle ONLY fits dogs with a head like the German Shepherd, Doberman, Labrador, and Greyhound. Our dog muzzles will not fit pug, pitbull, chihuahua, or bulldog dog breeds.

So far so good. It has plenty of pant room and seems sturdy. I’m concerned about the strength of the straps, they seem thin and weak, so I’ll give it 4 stars vs 5. However it’s great other than that.

I had to return this poop guard because it didn't fit my dog's muzzle. Otherwise, I believe this would have solved the issue of keeping my dog from licking his sutures.

Great muzzle to deter dog from eating bunny poop! Easy to put on and dog can still bark and pant.

I have a one year old Bernadoodle puppy who when I’m gone, likes to help me rearrange and redecorate the house by destroying things that he doesnt think goes with the decor of the home. As much as I appreciate his sense of style, I got the muzzle for him after he outgrew his crate so that way hes still able to be free around the house, drink water and breathe With ease. I’ve watched him on camera, Try with everything he has to get the muzzle off like he’s gotten off the others. This is the only muzzle that he has NOT been able to remove despite his best effort. Highly recommend!

Take away the ugly labels for bully breeds. I've been rescuing and rehabilitating pitbulls for 30 years. One of my girls has an issue with the other and every 6 months there is a fight. I don't give up on dogs no matter how many times I have been bit. Even after 30 years I learned about a basket muzzle. The Dog can drink yawn eat snacks and relax. She only wears it when I am not home! I got hot pink so the naysayers fan F off. This is great and a comfortable fit!!!

I'm going to start off by saying that my dog's a bit reactive toward dogs (loves people). Because she's 90 pounds, she can be somewhat intimidating. We have a dog sports event coming up where we will have to be around some dogs, so I wanted a muzzle with a large basket so she can pant freely, and pink is her color. We have a Baskerville muzzle that I got just in case of injury/vet visits/etc and it's great and would work for indoor events, but my dog here gets warm quickly, so I just needed a little more height in the basket to know she can cool herself appropriately. We did need to use hot water to make it a little wider at the nose bridge, and Peanut butter makes for good training treats.

Based on just first impressions so far, I like it. Just was like a 5 minute first try-on, right out of the package, to see how our heeler would react to it and see how it fit her. It seems very sturdy. It is pretty cute too. I think that the color looks beautiful on her. I saw other people talk about it being slender and needing to widen it with hot water. I will do that, if necessary but as of right now, it seems alright. She does have a slightly slender face, I think. At least compared to our other two heelers. But after wearing it a couple times for a while, if could end up needing to be widen, we will see.We are going to work with her little by little and get her more comfortable, especially since she will need to wear it fairly often. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like the sizing isn't too consistent, even for those that measured, so I just went with a medium and it seems to fit well and has enough space to pant. Hope this helps us and we can avoid any further issues with our girl. We love her and our others, so much and we want to keep everyone to be safe and happy. One step at a time 💚

I have an adopted doggo whom I love to bits, but he is extremely (like extremely) aggressive toward other dogs when we're out on a walk. I wanted to give a muzzle while on walks a try, and after a few walks trying this, I have given up on it for a few reasons...First, my dog is able to get his paws really easily into the frame of the muzzle, so because he can grip the muzzle so well, he practically rips his paws open pushing so hard. Bad boy, I know, but I very much wish the frame of the muzzle was closed on the sides, so he wasn't able to do that. If you look at the structure of the muzzle, you can tell, oh yes, easy for a dog to get their paws stuck in the sides and PULL. Not good.Second, the muzzle is tightened with a belt buckle and strap with holes, and it requires me to strap it on EXTREMELY tight to his face to get it buckled properly and well enough that he's unable to take it off. In my head, I am always thinking that the muzzle must be extremely uncomfortable for him. I wish very much the straps were hook and loop (Velcro) style. And last, the muzzle is bright red, and I know it might be vain, but it doesn't look great to have a bright red muzzle on an already upset and aggressive dog. It really brings attention to the fact that he's muzzled, and I've had kids and adults both comment on "Oh wow, look at what that dog has on..." I wish the muzzle wasn't such a bright color. I'd honestly think it would be less obtuse if it were a brown or even white.I wish I could recommend this muzzle more and it looked like a good sturdy option, but after some use, I can't say I'd suggest it. It does work, but not the best for me.
