I have used this product on a variety of rugs over the years because it works so well. Recently I had to reapply it to an older rug that had this treatment years ago, and it worked well in making my rug slip resistant again. Thank you amazon for making this available as my local stores no longer carry. Interestingly I noticed that now it is owned by plasti-dip. (another great product that has numerous applications.) Apply this product in a couple of thin coats. It may not appear to have covered completely as the rug fabric may still show, but wait till dry and then you can feel that it is actually there and will make your rub nice and grippy!

IMO don't waste your money. Doesn't stick worth a crap even if you follow the instructions to a T. Even if use an excessive amount. And That very well could be true for all these types of products. I've only tried this one. Might be better off buying those non-stick dual sided silicone rolls or sheets. They are used for Children, People with disabilities and the elderly to put on tables to keep plates, drinks, various items from falling off tables or under tables and things to keep them in place. I have one I bought for my mom here on Amazon and I think that just might work alot better.

This stuff performs exactly as advertised. It applied easily, dried nicely, and keeps a bathroom rug and a long kitchen runner right in place. Even better is I've used less than 1/4 can on those two rugs. A keeper!

This product does work, but it's not perfect. It definitely slowed down my rugs from creeping, but they still tend to creep. One long carpet that I applied the product to, now creeps sideways instead of longways. I would recommend this product, just as long as you have realistic expectations. The product does offer some relief from the frustration of rugs moving, but they won't be completely without motion. Still, I was so tired of all my rugs moving that I welcome this product for some relief.Also, if you do purchase this product, I recommend using it outside where there is better ventilation, because the spray has a powerful overwhelming chemical smell.

I love this product because you can use it on rugs that you can wash. Great for bathroom and kitchen rugs, that get dirty . Wash and when dry just respray. No more tripping hazards.

I purchased a large handmade area rug in Qatar, it does not have rubber backing and it slipped so much on tile that it became unsafe to walk ok. I love do wash my rungs in the washing machine when they get dirty so I prefer not to have that rubber backing that cracks over time and makes it impossible to get a large area rug in the washer at home. This product goes on with ease when you follow the instructions, it isn't gummy or sticky, and creates a thin skid resistant layer to the rug. The rug does not move now! I even washed my rug since applying and the product is still there. So happy with this product. I would advise that when you spray this product if you are inside, turn your air up high until you are done and also try to leave the house after turning your air down to help circulation. Product has fumes. Otherwise try to spray in a well ventilated area but also away from direct sun light and wind.

We have a leather sofa and this spray works so well to stop throws from slipping off - even with a couple of dogs bouncing on it!

缶にサビが入ったものが届きました。底の日付を見ると２０年前！！！プラスチックも劣化しているのか、蓋はすぐ割れてしまいました。使ってみましたが塗ったところは透明にならず、泡が混じって白っぽくなってしまいます。よく振りながら使ったり初めの数秒は空吹きしたりしたのですが、どうしても少し泡を吹いて白くなります。古いから？吹いた後は、ふせんくらいのベタベタ加減です。ほこりが寄らないとありましたが、ぜんぜんつかないわけではないです。

We have some old rubber-backed carpets on which the rubber backing had hardened and was crumbling in some places. We also have some carpets that never had any rubber backing. All of them slid easily on our laminate and tile floors, so we ordered this product to stop them from slipping. On the carpets that had backing, I scraped off as much of the old crumbling backing as I could, but left the backing on in places where it was still firmly attached. Although the instructions indicate to apply the product in a thin layer, I found that multiple successive layers were required to achieve sufficient tackiness. In spite of this, I was still able to treat approximately the 50 square feet of carpet that the product indicates it should cover, although I did this by following the instructions that indicate to spray the edges then simply spray an X across the middle, so the entire area of the carpet does not end up being covered.After letting the carpets dry overnight, we found that all of the carpets resist sliding better than before, but that the results are much more impressive for the carpets that never had any backing; those carpets stick as if they're glued to the floor. On the carpets with old rubber backing, the areas where I had scraped off the old backing seem to stick better, but not as well as the un-backed carpets. On areas where I applied this product over the old backing, there is some resistance to sliding, but the carpet will still slide if pushed hard enough, although not with weight on it. Overall, I am satisfied with this product as it has produced the result I wanted. However, anyone buying this product should be aware that if you use this on old rubber-backed carpets they will not stick to the floor as well as they did when new, at least based on our results.
