This roughly 40 gsm PP nonwoven is strong enough to stand up to wind if properly anchored and supported. The nonwoven material is also resistant to sun, rain and heat. The material becomes somewhat brittle far below freezing, but these are not the conditions under which the product would be used.The product extends the growing season into periods where night time temperatures are likely to drift somewhat near or below freezing. In Southern Indiana, this provides an extra month in the spring and an extra month in the fall. It is also a safe material, being the same as the body contact surface of many consumer products.The product somewhat attenuates afternoon sun, allowing the soil to remain moist. Excessive moisture and hot air can pass through the fabric, however, keeping the enclosed area cool on hot days.It is still too early to plant outdoors, but we look forward to using the product in the spring. We will be stretching it over 4 ft x 8 ft "cattle panels" of heavy duty steel grid often used in gates and feed areas on farms. At 10 ft width, the product is perfectly sized for the cattle panel as there is extra length on either side to anchor the material to the ground.

This plant protector cloth is fairly priced and works perfectly. I've got a few bag-style plant protectors too, but needed some more coverage, and this can easily be cut to cover just what you need. It successfully protected my sensitive tropical plants from a few frosty 40ish-degree nights with even cooler windchills.

Love the weight of this cover. It is light weight but very durable. Lets light shine through. Used u-shaped stakes to hold into place and it did not tear in the wind. Great product.

There is a lot of material here and it is pretty strong. I am unable to tear it by hand even though it is pretty thin and has ventilation holes. I hope I don't have to use this, but it looks much better than plastic sheeting or old blankets if I do. It is also much more compact than blankets and will obviously be much easier to wrap around plants. The ability to cut longer strips will help, too, as a blanket can be too short to put around a big plant, and trying to tie two together is always a hassle. With this material, you can cut a ten foot sheet or so and get it all the way around a plant in one shot.

The build of this plant-covering material is light weight. It is strong to a point, but can be torn by hand. For that reason it seems this will be best used on relatively gentle tasks, such as covering young garden plants, vegetable beds, or flowers. It will fare worse in rough or needly environments like wrapping trees. And if you are going to use it in wind, it will need to be clamped or tied down securely. On the plus side it is not a woven cloth, so you can freely cut it to whatever size you want. As garden coverings go, this one is good but not really special. But I rate it at four stars because it represents a good value. Mine was priced at twenty-two bucks for a ten by fifty foot sheet. That is a big, big piece of material at a modest price.

Years ago, I bought plant covers from a local professional nursery. This Rsyuanyi plant cover is thicker and stronger than what I have been using (see picture). My current covers are also not as long. I also need three layers to provide protection and won't cover the entire length of the garden. The Rsyuanyi longer length will give me more flexibility in covering larger areas with less layers.

This is a nice frost cover. It has held up well and has done its job keeping my plants safe from the frost and is works well for slight shade and wind protection.
