Simple management interface.I used this to maintain power to a Pi Zero - which is prone to SD card corruption if the power is disconnected.

The product is easy to attach to the raspberry pi zero 2 and it is well made. Having a small portable power source is awesome! I used it for a pwnagotchi and I was able to see battery percentages and it worked flawlessly. My only complaint is that it only lasts 1 hour and 40 minutes on a full charge. I am not sure if this is normal but it seems really short. I feel like I’m better off carrying around a power bank.

This compact UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) module keeps your Pi running smoothly, even during power outages or when you’re working on the go.Installation is straightforward, and the module fits seamlessly with Raspberry Pi, providing a stable power source without the need for bulky adapters. The 1200 mAh battery offers great runtime, ensuring that your Pi stays powered up for hours, even when disconnected from the mains. It’s also incredibly easy to monitor the battery level, so you’ll always know when it’s time to recharge. What sets this power module apart is its versatility and portability. Whether you’re using your Pi for a portable project or just want to keep it running without an external power source, the PiSugar 3 is perfect. Plus, it’s small enough that it won’t add any significant bulk to your setup, making it ideal for compact builds like Pwnagotchi.

I've been wanting to ingrate a header-attached UPS to a raspberry pi for some home compute activities, but I didn't want it to be some stump-simple power-brick. I wanted something with a DAC that could sense battery charge levels, perform graceful shutdowns and startups based on battery conditions, provide reporting, intelligently manage lithium batteries for longevity.. you know.. a real UPS. I was about to resign myself to the smallest PowerChute-capable APC or CyberPower system I could find and just put up with the face that the battery was 50-times the size of the Raspberry Pi Zero.. and then.. PiSugar released the PiSugar3 .. which does everything I wanted,. The setup and configuration are simple, the size is perfect, the BCM keeps the battery at an optimail 82% .. overall.. excellent value for money.. I can't complain at all.

Just had to charge it when I received it and follow the instructions on their github page and everythings works perfectly. There is even a second button that can be programmed to send what ever command you wich to the raspberry pi!

Great idea, good software, but very poor execution insofar as the battery leads are soldered to the board rather than attached via a connector. Once the soldered connection starts coming loose or breaking, that's it unless you feel like repairing it yourself.Really too bad, because otherwise it seems brilliant.

Right off the bat, no physical installation directions. What wasn’t disclosed was the correct orientation of the boards. Why is that important? Isn’t it obvious? Well, what wasn’t disclosed is that there is a small amount of a film applied to the threads on the Pi Sugar 3 board which is difficult for the screws (used to mount the boards together) to pierce when screwing in the screws. The resistance of this film makes screwing in the thread makes one think a) did I strip the thread b) did I round off the screw head c) did I get wrong screws d) is it really the correct orientation? What should have taken at most 2 minutes took way too long to identify the film as the culprit. I finally get the two boards installed with the Pogo’s oriented correctly and everything looked good. The little blue light glowed, as I had charged up the Pi Sugar 3 battery prior to all this to 100% (all 4 LEDs on the board lit up). I waited forever for the Pi Zero W to start up but the OS didn’t start. I am sure no power was being delivered to the Pi Zero W. Too frustrating for minimal return with terrible install directions. Just to make sure it wasn’t me, I disassembled the Pi Sugar 3 CAREFULLY from the Pi, packed it up. I then fired up the Zero through the correct power adapter as before. Runs fine. Returning the Pi Sugar 3. So glad for Amazon.

This module is I guess designed only to deploy the device headless . If you install the module from my experience and then plug in keyboard and mouse the pi faults for low power. This by the way is with the battery fully charged on idle with he stock battery I did manage to get 3.69 hours of standby idle time ... I then removed the pack that came with it and supplimented a larger battery to achieve 8 days idle uptime so far. But no matter the size of the battery it doesn't provide enough current for most shields. Tried with several zeros same results. For the money it's an expensive solution to a cheap problem
