The E-string was missing the ball end piece, so I was not able to hook it to the bottom of the violin.

These strings are only returnable in their original conditions.I started with E string which was fine. Continuing with G, again fine. But the A string was so distorted and edgy!!! I could return it so I went ahead and install all of them hoping that it wouldn't be a big issue. But on the second day of usage, I realized there's also a dent on the A string. The sound is nice, but the quality is really poor. I wish I could've returned them :(UPDATE:They accepted the return :)

The packaging of Pirazzi strings is very confusing. I previously had the Gold packaged set ( with no gold on any strings?) and decided to replace them with the Green packaged set (reviewed here). The Green do have gold strings, so why is that? The Gold packaged Pirazzis are much warmer in tone. I really like them much more than the Green boxed strings. I'm going back to the gold boxed strings.

These violin strings add power and beauty to the sound. The break-in time is about 5 days, and the durability, is very good. The A string tends to unravel at the nut, and this has happened a few times , as an effect from tuning up a new string.

I've used these strings with my violin (I have modern Gregg Alf violin) that tends to have darker tone with other strings. These strings brings all new tone characteristics to the violin that just great for playing the Bach pieces. The lower string is deeper and the E brilliance is more pronounced. May not be for everyone, but personally for me, these strings bring a whole new sound to my violin

These strings are not inexpensive, however the G, D, and A string produce a warm rich sound and the E string has a bell like beutiful tone. The string quality is excellent and maintain their resilience for quite some time. Pirastro has made a winner with the Evah Pirazzi violin strings!

Same as always! I have used these strings for years. I just love how they sound on my violin, and even though they're kind of pricey, I think they're worth it. The gold plated E string doesn't sound "tinny" or "sharp," in my opinion. Of course, they stretch out after a few days, but the sound quality is always fantastic. Quality strings at a fair price.

These are great strings.I have an old early-1800's violin... decent shape. I was amazed at the difference these strings make over a mid-range set. I used to play better than the violin... now it plays better than me!!The best $75 you'll spend for your violin, and playing pleasure!!PS You'll soon want to get the rosin especially made for these strings, too...
