My daughter just started learning to play the violin, and I accidentally snapped the e string while tuning her instrument one day. I was able to easily restring it with these strings, despite only ever having strung a guitar before. They are perfect for a 1/4 violin, and it sounds so good! I should probably replace the other strings now, since this one seems to shine in sound over the other ones. It’s also held it’s tuning really well. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase these again! I also appreciate that it came with an extra e string, which tends to be the one that most likely snaps.

My teacher recommended this brand, strings sound strong and bright, not worse than other big string brand, But it is CHEAPER!

These strings have a singing voice or an overtone not typical of all-steel strings, and they make typical (non-professional) grade violins sound quite a bit better than what I hear from comparable strings on such instruments. A well-made string, well packaged.

Arrived as expected. Complete set. Set up and tuned. Allowed to stretch and fine tuned. Played for several hours to settle in. High end is very dull. Low end not impressive. No improvement over a week of playing. Would not recommend.

These strings were unknown to me when I bought them, but I needed 1/10 size violin strings and I didn't want to stretch a shorter string or deal with ones that were too long (I don't like the suggestion of trimming the strings shorter to size -- you lose the grippy wrapped ends!). Anyhow, these strings were very vibrant and had good sound quality. The materials listed were good, too, so I'm quite pleased with this purchase.
