Over past few months put an audiophyle 2 channel system together on the cheap.....retired and was time for some quality listening..Had experience in fine audio prevously..kinda fun doing it on the cheap..the wildcard in the system would be the cd player..so just trusted Pioneer..this player has been around for a time. Reviews went to both extremes.My amp is a Cambridge 25 watt per..pre amp phono Bellari pa 550, equalizer Bellari, Denon 300f with lp pro styllus upgrade, and the fine Pioneer cd player.. i wanted no remotes, no DAC ability or Bluetooth..started with psb alpha 3s, but went with alpha 5s..i still am amazed when playing a well engineered cd..the pioneer has been flawless. Even more so, when i want to pound some sound the pioneer will handle without clipping..within reason.. i actually recommend all the components mentioned..i paid no more than 15 bucks for any cables. Mainly using prime's recommended.

I wanted a simple CD player without a carousel.( I only ever play one disc at a time, and got tired of malfunctions with more complicated multi disc players. This is perfect. Excellent sound and so far it works perfectly. Delivery was faster than expected. This is a previously used item but lokks and works like new.

This CD player skips way too easily. You have to be careful just walking past it. Wish I could return it.

This is the best CD player I have ever had. The quality is awesome. I have had many CD players over the years but this one is the very best. At last I have a CD player that I can enjoy my music without breakdowns. Thanks Amazon for your awesome products, you never let me down.
