This tool I bought I'm using it to hold a pinion yoke from turning so I can torque it to spec and do my preload for pinion bearings. Durable and stout and works really good. The axles I'm using this on are Jk rubicon Dana hd 44 axles

Decent thick steel plate, but bolt holes arent wide enough for my 8.8 flange, and the tolerances on the square hole for the breaker bar are quite large, you can make it work though

I got this so I can test pinion nut torque on my 9" without taking the pumpkin out (which means I get to leave the wheels, axles and brakes on! a time saver!) Since the pumpkin is in the axle, I can't just mount the yoke in a vise, I'd have to use some kind of pipe wrench that would mar up the yoke. This tool lets me use the 1350 yoke bolt pattern and a breaker bar to hold the yoke still while I check torque.I don't think I'll use this often, but I'll be much less hesitant to mess with the pinion nut since I won't have to remove the axles, etc.

Loosening the pinion nut on a differential is never easy even with an impact wrench. It's always a challenge to find some way to hold the yoke securely when you are trying to break the nut loose, especially when doing so on a bench. This is one of those simple tools where as soon as I saw it I said "Genius" and why didn't someone create this sooner. This is such a simple and secure way to get ahold of the pinion yoke and hold it securely no matter how tight the nut might be. The tool itself is very cleanly laser cut and beautifully made overall. Not an everyday type of tool, but when you need it there is nothing better.

This pinion yoke wrench was a great price.Great product. Fit my 1974 gm 8.5 yoke no problems. You just need to find the 4 slots that fit.This one can compare to the expensive onesLove that it had multiple ratchet slots. Great buy
