Replaced a leaky pinion seal with this part about a month back and my rear diff has stayed dry with no issues as of yet. Should stay sealed for the rest of the trucks life.

Compared to the oem seal, or equivalent I really like how this seal has a “skirting” for extra covering over the pinion flange. Will see how it holds up. Fits nice, and tight, and seals up around the pinion flange very well. This is my 3rd pinion seal in 21 years, and a tad more then 80,000 k’s on my diff. The two previous seals were oem Ford seals.

Getting old one out is the tough part without proper tool. Hammer and chisel time.Drilled hole in block of wood to tap in new one. Seems good.

Didn’t fit my 04 ranger. Went to the local parts store the one they gave me was an 1/8 inch smaller popped right in worked perfectly. Sometimes it worth spending the extra money and going to a real store.
