I bought a 66 GTO project. I always like to start with the mechanical stuff so the first obvious thing was a bad leak in the rear end seal. Pulled off the cover. The gears looked pretty good. I didn’t really check the bearings, but I’m hoping they’re OK. Getting the yoke off with the puller popped out the seal replaced it and put the yoke back on. I had marked the thread so I knew how deep to go in my three-quarter inch impact gun did the rest of the work…no more leaking.

I feel like the seal should've lasted longer. The truck only gets driven a few times a year.
