I put these on my Darton Consequence, which is a pretty quiet bow but had just a touch of string "twang" after the shot. These things quietened it down perfectly. They are a bit of a bear to put on but really not that bad. They are extremely tough so don't be afraid to yank on them or grab them with a pair of plyers. Took me maybe 2 minutes to put both on.

Got these for my Hoyt VTM 34. These DO NOT GO THROUGH THE STRING! You can force them, but there designed to wrap around the string. Also, they are a pain to pull through the eyelet (rub them in between your hands for 1-2 min to warm them up, makes the rubber more flexible). But overall did dampen the string sound and i was happy with them.

I takes a bit of pulling to get the dampeners on the string and cables but they are definitely made tough enough to take the pulling! Haven't measured the decibel difference but it is noticeable during the daily indoor shooting I do over the winter.

I can’t believe how much quieter my Hoyt is after putting two of these on. I would not have expected this much of a difference and I am beyond pleasantly surprised with how effective this product was. There was no discernible difference in arrow drop in case anybody was wondering (checked at 60 pound draw 30 yards).Easy to install to, 2 minutes and I was done. Needed nothing but my fingers.

These are not as difficult to install as some reviews make out. They do take a little bit of wrestling but well worth it. 2 of these made a dramatic difference in noise reduction. No change in point of impact with my bow.

I've got an older Mathews solid limb. Getting hard to find limb stabilizers for the solid limbs anymore so I wanted to try these after installing new string and cable set. They ARE rather tricky to install without ripping them, like several people have said. I was having a few issues trying to get them installed, but I finally was able to get a pair on WITHOUT breaking any of them. Take your time and use care to pull them through gently yet completely. They work GREAT at this time, not sure about how long they'll last, but the bow has quieted down a large bit. Would recommend them if you want quiet your bow and also stop the vibration too. Not sure if they slow down the arrow much or not because I haven't chronographed it to know.

Purchased these to try in lieu of the Monkey Tails. They are lighter @ 13.5 vs. 17.0 grains so your string will have less wait on it, so depending on how far you shoot and what group size you want, it may change your ballistics noticeably. Thus far they have held up just as well as well as the monkey tails and perform equally well (or better) at dampening the string vibration; at least to my "calibrated" ear.If you still want "monkey tails", Zebra now sales them here on Amazon: Installation Note:If you find these, or the others, hard to install, first soften them up a bit by stretching them several times prior to installing. I do this using a #2 phillips screwdriver placed through the eye of the head, and then pull on the tail(s) to stretch them several inches. Second, place it on the string and insert the tails through the eye, insert a #1 phillips screwdriver through the eye, from the opposite side you inserted the tails through, and then stretch the eye slightly while pulling the tails through and securing the dampener. This requires the dampener less stretching of the dampener during install; thus, extending the useful life and preventing premature failure.

After going to my archery shop, they put similar string silencers on my Oneida Kestrel, and it kept the string very quiet. After a year's use, the silencers broke off because of how dry they were. Without them, my bowstring would sound very disturbing after every short. After doing my research, these are the cheapest and they do work.I put four Wishbone string silencers on my string, two on opposite sides of the serving. The setup took about 5 minutes per Wishbone because the silencers were so new and had to be stretched out. That was the reason for a four-star review instead of a five-star review. After all that setup, the string made almost to no noise when I plucked the string. After playing around with the placements of the Wishbones, my string is completely silent. Pros:Silences down your bowLooks cool (IMHO)Comes in fourCheap PriceGood qualityCons: Set up is a little difficult, but stretching them helps
