I'm honestly trying to find a good minifit removal tool. The best one of my coworkers has come up with so far is cutting 2 strips of flat wire and using that. But this tool is a little too thick to get down the side of the mini fit pins. Maybe it will work if I sand it down.

It perfectly solved my problem, but it breaks easily.

Only removes pins. Too thick to remove sockets, jambs the Molex Jr when inserted deep enough to disengage. Will have to be modified (sanded/jeweler's file) to work.Confirmed it works with a couple hundred light passes with 400 grit.

I got this in case i need to fix something before powering it up the first time with custom cables, i tested it with an 8-pin cable that was laying around and i was extremely impressed, I had to bend the base of the prongs out and bend the tips in for them to work quickly and efficiently. I used to try and pull the terminals out with a needle and brute strength, sometimes ripping out some plastic with it, and it took around 10 mins per pin. With these, it took 3 to 10 seconds per pin and it de-pinned all 16 pins from that cable less than 10 minutes, and all pin wings were bent flush with the housing and no brute strength what-so-ever! Price is well worth it.

When my buddy at work pulled this out at work, after I had been fighting a JLG plug for an hour, I almost lost it.It is very easy to use, great quality and durability. It doesn't look like much but once you learn how to use it, you will be the the next to get a raise as performer of the year!

If you want to remove pins from an ATX power supply cable, this is the tool you need. It may be pricey, but it is worth it.After a day of attempting unsuccessfully to use other tools and household items to extract pins from both the male and female ends of an ATX12V extension cable, I purchased this item, the Molex Mini-Fit Jr Extraction Tool. Following the instructions in the review by Electronics for Dogs dated January 10 2017, I was able to remove all the pins I needed to within minutes. I found the female end easier to remove than the male end, which required more force to extract the pins. The tool feels sturdy enough, and suffered no damage after removing 24 pins from one end of the extension cable, and five from the other end.

The item I received was made of decent quality steel - I didn't feel worried about bending the tips - others have commented the tips got bent very easily, I wonder if they got a different version / co-mingled inventory? The tool is easy to use, and exactly what you need for removing pins from ATX connectors. Removing the pins is never SUPER easy, but with this tool, you can do it repeatably, without worrying about breaking the pins themselves.I bought another kit before buying this, and the ATX pin tool tips were too thick, and it wasn't useful - this item is more expensive, but there's a reason for that - it's the real deal.
