I use this ground pad for my 1 year old when we are outdoors so she can explore and play safely. I love that this ground pad is washable, waterproof, very durable. We haven’t had any issues with it tearing from rocks. It folds so easily and stores easily as its folds down quite compact.

I already have several of these stashed around my house, car, garage, and bike bag. Packs down small, fairly water resistant, easy to clean, and large enough to lay out with a picnic spread. Love the color!!!

When we received the blanket, it had to dirt stains on the back of it. I assume someone used it before and then returned it. I washed it. Since it says to only air dry, that's what I did. That was kind of annoying. I wish I could dry it in the dryer. When using it, it's actually very nice. I like that it's bigger than the previous picnic blankets we've had. It kept me dry from the wet grass very nicely. I don't like having to fold it up just precisely to make it fit into the "carrying" mode. Instead, I just fold it up and stick it in the stroller. Overall, it's a nice blanket.

I didn't pick this up for the beach; I picked it up for stargazing in a field. For this, it is wonderful. Just bring bug spray!I used a towel last time, since I didn't have a proper sheet, and boy did I regret it. I had tons of little seeds and dry twigs stuck in my towel. They came out eventually, but it was an ordeal.This one is infinitely better. The trim around the edge can collect certain types of grabby foliage, but nothing like the towel. Your mileage may vary, depending upon your local plant life.The bottom layer is a plasticky-feeling fabric. It will probably hold up well to moisture too, though I had no opportunity to test that. I wouldn't trust it with TOO much moisture!The top layer is bonded to the bottom layer with heat-melted joints, much like elastics are usually joined to disposable masks. It should hold up fine to normal use. If you have kids who abuse things though... it will probably only hold up a couple of seasons.The print on the top layer is excellent. There is one white line where the fabric must have been slightly creased while printing took place, but otherwise, it's beautiful.It folds up easily, as long as you follow the original creases. Just let the fabric tell you where to fold it.The bundling flap is super handy. The velcro is of average quality.The handle is great. Just bundle it up and carry it away. I'm always filling both hands so this is easy to carry with multiple other items.It's plenty big enough for several adults to sit, or two adults to lay beside each other, depending upon how big the adults are.This is great for me. I'm looking forward to getting much use out of it until the snow flies!
