My go to paddle is the Selkirk LUXX Invikta Control Air. But I’m a gear guy that loves trying different paddles, especially more affordable ones to see how they perform or could perform with minor mods.I like to play with Control, Spin and shot placement. In factory form, this paddle is lightweight, has the grittiest/most aggressive carbon faces that I’ve ever felt in terms of dragging fingernails across it. Comparing it to some of my other paddles like the ProKennex Kinetic Black Ace Ovation or Kindtic Pro Speed ii it’s like comparing 220 Grit Sand Paper to 400 Grit. Power is on the lower medium scale. Theres some pop but it’s definitely no rocket launcher. Spin potential is clearly there if I do my part. For me, Indid find that I needed a bit more stability when hard driven balls we’re coming at me and I needed to volley at the kitchen line/mid court. The handle is a slight rectangular profile, like Volkl Tennis racquets which I prefer.Overall very pleased with paddle, especially for the price point in factory form…but me being me wanted to improved it/tailor it for me sooo….Added 10” x 1/2” Tungsten Weighted tape along the sides and throat of the paddle. Removed the gripTape and added 1/8” adhesive foam strips on the sides of the handle to increase the rectangular profile/feel of the handle and wrapped it with Over Grip Tape to keep the circumference small.Big Transformation!!!😁. Volleying is stabile, shot placement and spin city on tap!!!My friends that have tried it are impressed and loved playing with it instead of their own paddles. The bangers liked how now they could swing aggressive with some spin and keep shots in and be able to slow down the tempo of the game by taking pace off the ball when returning it.If looking for a great all around paddle that is very affordable and offers control and spin potential I definitely recommend it.

Great Paddle. I've only been playing for a few months and I wanted a better paddle as I improve my game. This fit the bill. I think it has actually helped me improve my game and has reduced reverberations down my arm when striking the ball. As a consequence, it has helped reduce my tennis elbow discomfort that I used to feel with my other paddle. I find that it also gives me better control on my shots. The only thing I have to work on is taking some of the energy off the ball when it bounces off the paddle as it does seem to have more spring to it than my old stiff paddle.

This is an up grade from my entry level SLK paddle. Responds well, good quality, and has a longer handle for a 2 handed backhand. Thicker but still lightweight for control.

This paddle is great for how little you’re paying. It’s a got a wide surface with a ton of grip on the ball. Easy to create a lot of spin while playing. It feels heavy at first but I’ve gotten use to it. I almost like it more than my $250 joola paddle.

So I play a decent bit of pickle ball. At least once a week but sometimes up to 3 times. I play at a pretty decent level with some good guys. I will say that for the price this is the best racket you will find. It has really good control and grip of the ball and it’s pretty durable. I throw it around a good bit and it’s still fine. Also, it has a big sweet spot so you can hit most balls where you want them even at high speed play. It does get marks on the face of the paddle when you hit the ball. It looks a little ugly but doesn’t affect the performance at all. It stills hits the same. I’ve been using this paddle for quite a while now and it has improved my game. 10/10 would recommend!

I like it! its light and powerful! Wish the sweet spot was better near the grip, but better than a lot of rackets I've seen. Pretty close in performance too >$100 rackets honestly

Used the paddle after it arrived, play usually twice a week and seems nice. Do I know the difference between a $200 or this paddle no but I also would not spend $200. This paddle works, I assume this paddle is better built than our beginner paddles and is definitely lighter.Paddle is comfortable in my hand, handle not to large in diameter as other have noted and I can put a better spin on the ball now. That is a start, hopefully more confidence leads to better shots. If you don’t want to break the bank give this paddle a try.

I own 2 of these paddles, one of which peeled after several uses. The seller sent out a new paddle after I brought this to their attention. I’m a 4.5 player and this paddle meets all my criteria for a good paddle. Great Spin, power, 16 mm thick, 8 oz, carbon fiber, longer handle for two handed backhand. And it’s priced right.

Paddle looks good enough and appears to be sturdy.Problem is that the grip is 4 1/2 not 4 1/4. Makes a big difference for grip to be accurate. Played with the paddle and can confirm the sturdiness during play. Felt like the right paddle with 16mm. The thinner paddle (10mm) just did not feel right for me. I hope this will withstand frequent play and not crack under pressure as a reviewer indicated. I would recommend this paddle if the grip difference would not be too large for your hands despite being off in measurement. I was able to control the ball and do top spins. I just need to get more comfortable with how hard I need to hit and stay within the court. So far, worth checking out at this price; not fancy and colourful but effective for intermediate player.

Review from Singapore. Was searching around for the new paddle and after reading the product's review, and decided to place an order. It look about 2-3 weeks before receiving it.The first try found the ball control is very good. The paddle weight is just nice, not too heavy. The only difference is the handle which find a bit too big but once use to it, it is ok.I might order another one for my wife when she is ready.Strongly recommend for intermediate level.

I just received and opened it. My mom has a carbon pickle she paid $100 for. My new czrr x5 pro feels every bit as sturdy as that carbon pickle. Sweet spots are very similar sized. The czrr has a rough finish that is supposed to help with spin. The handle feels great for my big hand and it's decently sticky. I did a little pop drill and had nice control with the paddle. Ive only played 5 times total and have been using my mother's starter paddle it's a Franklin $100 fiberglass paddle. My czrr feels way better and has way better sweet spot. It also has more pop where there is no sweet spot than the Franklin, it's about the same as the carbon pickle. I bought it for like $42 on black Friday. The price already is now $69 and I would repurchase at $69 if it holds up. Better yet Id get 2 for $108 or whatever the current deal is. For the record I'm new to pickleball and have only touched 3 paddles so I can't say if it's comparable to expensive paddles. I will keep buying the less expensive Chinese paddles and will never purchase an expensive "name brand" paddle.
