Whether you use this for piano repair, or other musical instruments, or just to place a little bit of padding on some mechanican device.. this is some very thick and fuzzy felt.They mean it when they say 0.28 inches; it really is more than a quarter inch thick. While it does squeeze down to half that under pressure, be aware this is VERY thick felt, and probably more than you need if you're putting pads on table legs, etc.
