About this item

  • Revolutionary beading action
  • Activated silicon-coating action
  • Highest quality silicone rubber compound
  • Resistant to all climates for extended life
  • Compatible with any type of windshield
  • Fit type: Universal

PIAA Silicone Wiper Refills ensure greater visibility by coating the windshield with silicone to promote continuous water beading in inclement weather. Water beads up into droplets at low speeds that are easily removed by ordinary wiping. And at higher speeds, wind pressure pushes the water off the windshield, often without even requiring wiper use. The silicone coating also reduces drag and eliminates annoying and inefficient chattering, regardless of the shape of the windshield to provide greater comfort for both driver and passenger. Silicone Wiper Refills reapply the silicone coating every time the wipers are used and fit Super Silicone, Aero Vogue and some OE wiper frames

I replaced the wiper blades on my 2012 Lexus ES-350 with these. They fit great and the silicone blade lasted a long time. So far so good, the wipers work great just like OEM.

A lot of people would complain about cost, and I agree they are expensive. However, these wipers are very quiet and very effective. Applying the coating and the wipers will cause the rain to not streak on your window. This means you'll be able to see clearly even if you don't turn the wipers on. It allows the water to ball up which is easy for me to see through.Obviously not everyone would drive the way I do. I sometimes don't care and leave my wipers off, but I imagine the majority of you will leave them turned on in the rain. The wipers are very quiet and enjoyable to use. Definitely easy to install. They lose 2 stars in longevity because they do break down quickly. I replace them every couple of years. Even when warn down they don't get loud, they just start to cause water streaking.

Bought for 2013 VW jetta. They took some work to get them into the slots, but I knew this going in. I also had to make some small adjustments with a razor, no big deal though they were just ever so slightly too long. These have been going strong for over a year and I expect many more years of excellent performance out of them. Silicone is the wiper blade to go with, chances are you will never have to replace.

these appear to be exact replacements to original ... working like they are brand new wipers. no silicone cloth included like with the new wipers, but if you are like me you save the extra one my only complaint about the piaa system is the rain-x like streaking the windshield gets for a brief second after passing across windshield before it turns crystal clear (-1*). these are great refills helping us all reduce waste and conserve our planets valuable resources while keeping us safer in the rainnow...as for amazon's packaging and shipping ... kinda like a using an H2 Hummer to commute 200 freeway miles a day. two separate boxes 4 x 4 x 36 inches ...so much for reducing waste and conserving resources! come on Amazon...join the 21st century and help out.

Acura's have these funky wipers and I have ordered a couple that say they fit the Acura and do not. I looked at a blog for the Acura and one guy there swore by the PIAA wipers for the Acura. Remember PIAA 94048 and PIAA 94070.I have a 19" and a 24" and the blades are fitted by removing the arm cover and removing the two screws that hold the wiper blade holder onto the wiper arm. Recommended you use a cordless impact screw driver as these screws are on tight!!! Once removed, you simply unclip the old wiper bladesd and insert the new blades and reverse the process to reinstall. One thing I noticed with these blades is zero chatter on the window. With non-silicone wipers, there is a little chatter as they wear in and a lot of chatter when they are worn out. These wipers were absolutely smooth and my windshield in winter mode or summer mode (if you own an RL, you'll know) work flawlessly.Worth the extra few bucks and Prime delivery was fast (2 days).

These refills are much cheaper that needlessly replacing the stock wiper arm with the PIAA Wiper arm and blade package. Anyone that has a car that takes thin refills should really get just this refill package. My initial impressions of the blade is that it is a bit slicker than the normal rubber blades, but only time will tell if these last any longer. One hint to folks with short wipers on their rear window. PIAA doesn't make a 14" silicone blade so I got a 16 inch one and cut it down to the 14" blade length with a kitchen knife. I measured the exact length, which was a bit under 14" off of the old blade. You can save the metal "bones" from the old blade and slip them into the replacement blade or if you wish and you have a Dremel tool or or grinder, you can cut the new bones down to size.Mazda-3 hatchback owners will want to get 1 each 21", 19", 16". The latter can really be any size 21" or smaller since you need to cut it down anyway.

Some background: We originally got these PIAA silicone wiper blades for our Subaru Forester (2002 S model), and they were the ones that included the wiper blade bracket (part that holds the wiper and connects to the arm). That was almost three years ago, and the blades only recently started to be less effective. Now, when I say less effective, I mean that they were probably still better than most other wiper blades, but we've become wiper blade snobs since using these! The wiper refills fit perfectly, and since I already knew which sizes we needed it was extremely easy to order the right ones. These wipers are the BEST. They wipe away water instantly, and the silicone coating makes water bead off the windshield when going over 25mph. They also hold up to frozen and winter conditions much better than regular blades. We've never had an issue the snow or ice with them. And c'mon, our old ones lasted THREE YEARS!We will always buy these blades and recommend them to everyone we can.(note: I wrote the same review for the 21" blade refill as well, since our car takes two different sizes for the front wipers)
