When I originally purchased the product I only removed the protective coating from one side and used that side. After about 2 months I had to switch to the other side because of scratches. After about 6 months both sides of both items (black & white) are scratched and scuffed beyond repair. I used the product to only photograph jewelry and was not abusive to them. The first few months I had good results, but the amount of dust that the surface attracts was also a problem. It does make photos look beautiful when it is clean and free of scratches and dust, but the amount of time I spent constantly cleaning it and later editing the flaws out of photos was not worth it

Item mostly as described, there are some nicks and scratches. Item took 2 weeks in shipping, i ordered dec 3rd and received on dec 17. shipping took longer than i had hoped. the white is not solid and shows the object underneath which creates a problem when attempting to photograph. the black is as described but does have some nicks and scrapes. both are magnets for dust and hair and constantly have to dust off between photographing products. because of the imperfections scrapes and such i have to do more work in photo editor to edit them out and then because of the material when you edit the scrapes/blotches out it distorts where you edited in the photo.

These work well for casting a reflection. I love them. No photoshop needed. They have a high shine. They were packaged well and arrived with no scratches. I am enjoying working with these and I highly recommend them. I will purchase more in the future as needed.
