Works great but only use the canisters unless you want to cut for bigger tanks

This unit works better than the most expensive SodaStream.

Love this item. Gets used frequently for freshly made soda on tap. As an avid soda drinker feeling the pinch of inflation I did the math and this definitely is saving me money making my own drinks at home. So simple to use, maintain and clean. It's versatility with off brand co2 canisters is nice because you don't have to buy theirs directly and it's saving money again with plenty of options to choose from especially the unique flavoring additives, I bought a multi pack and the ingredients are so simple and natural compared to what you find on the back of most store bought drinks so that's another plus I like. Highly recommend

Doesn't take up a lot of room, simple to use, and carbonates well. It's helping going cold turkey on sugar drinks like sodas, makes water easier for me to drink, haven't had a soda since I got it and don't desire any most of the time. I use it plain, don't add anything to the water. Cheaper than buying cans of drinks, too.

Sodastream has some kind of bearing on the end of the carbonation spout, this product does not have a bearing or valve to prevent backflow --It is just a straw (pictured at the bottom). This allows for the machine under certain conditions to act as a siphon and suck water from the bottle back into the machine which explains how it ends up pooling into the base and leaking all over the counter. The plus: 1. Standard Sodastream bottles and 60L CO2 tanks fit.2. it looks cute. That is it. This machine is terrible at carbonation. The end product was still rather flat and devoid of bubbles. Waste of time and money. During correct operation, the water easily overflows and backfeeds through the C02 spout and drips out of the bottom of the machine all over the counter (bottle on correctly, fill line correct, etc.) Unlike a SodaStream there is no way to release pressure from the bottle before unscrewing. You just have to hope that it depressurizes before you try -- which is a waiting game. The channel that the 60L carbonation bottle fits into is very narrow, you have to pick up the whole machine and hold it upside down or sideways while trying to insert the bottle. It is a tight squeeze and the design doesn't give you visible access to the socket where the C02 bottle screws into. If there is ever an issue, you will not be able to inspect or troubleshoot the connection of the C02 tank as it is completely hidden from view.Screwing the bottle on is difficult, it does not tilt toward you. You have to hold the bottle upright, try to push it up into the receptacle and turn the bottle to screw it in at the same time. Pushing upward and turning hand-over-hand clockwise is more difficult than it sounds. I am very adept but found this to be clunky and not easy to do. It was a hindrance to be honest.Instead of misty spray type carbonation stream I am used to, this machine injects huge air bubbles that shoot straight into the bottle, which makes it easy to overflow and doesn't give great carbonation.I compared this machine side by side performance-wise with a Soda Stream Jet Fountain, which is an entry level machine that is no longer in production. This Phillips brand maker was a huge disappointment in all areas. I do not recommend this, especially if your only experience is with the SodaStream. You might hate it as much I do.

Easy to install. The minimum amount of water is substantial, 16oz maybe? So you're not able to carbonate one drink at a time. Water isn't nearly as effervescent as store bought. Not sure it's worth it

I got this in May and used it with absolutely no issues at all until mid-September. I loved it. THEN things went wrong. The machine worked and then it didn't and then it did and then it didn't.... SO, I wrote a lousy review and was contacted by Phillips. Guess what? They sent me a NEW one, absolutely free. AND they sent two more bottles because I mentioned that those will hold a liter but you are not supposed to fill them over about 7/8 liter. You have to love a company that stands by its product and makes things right. I am rating them 5 stars based on the performance of Phillips. Bravo for good customer service.May 23, 2024 I have used this machine to make an average of 2 bottles a day, every day, since I received the replacement from Phillips. It's started not working right 2 days ago - the gas blows out in back of the bottle connector. I had my friend who is a maintenance professional look at it and he feels he'd have to take it apart because he thinks one of the seals has broken. Even if he got it apart, would he be able to get a new seal? I don't know but I feel I got my money's worth and ordered a new one today - still a Phillips but Stainless because it cost a little less as "Amazon's Choice." This time I purchased a warranty plan which is really not needed because Phillips, as shown above, stands by their product. But if this one works for a year, I really can't expect Phillips to pony up a new machine - it wouldn't be fair. I know - TLDR. Buy it - it's worth your money.
