I wear this every day for work. Entertainment industry, indoors. The light weight and vents keep it comfortable. If it's not comfortable you will not wear it, which does nothing for your safety. So the weight and vents count for a lot. Fit can also be adjusted on the left and right sides of your head independently.Chin strap keeps things secure. Also has two choices for emergency release depending on the work you're doing (climbing or on the ground).The liner is removable for washing. I prefer to wear bandanas on my head and swap them out during the day. This let's me keep the liner switching to a minimum.

We bought this for our son who is a volunteer firefighter and on the SAR (Search and Rescue) team. He picked it out so it’s exactly what he needed. It’s very well made, fits well and is lightweight while giving the proper protection. Definitely worth the price.

The Petzil Vertex is a great quality helmet for rigging or other live events work. The convenient adjustments inside the rim on the left and right make it easy to get a comfortable high fit without having to take off to adjust. The chin strap easy easy to adjust and stays in place. I've never take a shackle pin to the head while wearing this but the outer plastic feels solid and well made. There is a reason that this is one of the most popular helmets used by touring crew around the world.

This is the best Safety Helmet you can buy. Material & Design is the best with all the elements and components of the chin strap + Adjustable head band. I was using Petzl Vertex Best since year 2011 and due to 10 years service life ended in year 2021, I bought the new one, even though the 10 years old one is still looking good.If you are serious about Safety and can spend little extra investment on your head protection, get this one. And feel safe for next 10 years,

Use for stage work and when riggers are overhead looks cool and stays cool with the vents and never falls off when I duck under a truss!!
