It’s useful for ice climbing or mountaineering as an addition to your gear loops. Fixed to the harness waistbelt, it allows you to access, rack, and organize gear with one hand. Use it to easily rack your ice screws, ice axe, or a hammer. It’s possible to position more than one CARITOOL EVO on the harness waistbelt.

Easily rack ice screws (and your tools) while climbing; sits out perpendicular from your harness making it much easier then using a normal carabiner.Will fit into the "tab" that most alpine harnesses have next to the gear loops, designed to hold carabiners like this.Super strong enough (for holding ice screws).

I can't imagine ice climbing without these now that I've started using them. These will hold six screws each so two holders will manage just about any pitch I'd climb. While these are awesome, periodically, when twisted, the gate will pop out or even disappear. I've had to replace about one per season. An aluminum version of this might be a winner. I have a few gateless holders. If anyone knows where to find replacement gates I could put them back into service.

These things are surprisingly strong. I have no problem attaching rope grabs on them when I am flying around on the job site. They will also fit a Milwaukee impact or drill if you need to be hands free. I was concerned they wouldn’t, but even though it’s a snug fit the power tools do fit and will not fall out if you’re high up hanging and banging.Anyway, this lady Ironworker approves.
