It took a bit to program it but has worked out great. I appreciate the ability to dispense just a little bit more if needed through the manual feeding option in the app. Definitely not for medium to large sized kibble.

I love the design. The WiFi and app are really easy to set up and use. Holds a lot of food for the cats. Has plug in and battery backup, so don’t forget to order batteries (3 d batteries for each feeder). The noise isn’t bad and you can turn off the “action complete” beeping

I love this feeder. I originally purchased the Aqara C1 as I'm a Home Assistant user and was looking for a system that would work with Home Assistant.Anyway, I've returned the Aqara C1 and love the Petory feeder! Not only is the Petory able to be integrated with my Home Assistant installation without a hub, it's $40 instead of $100. The C1 would have required a hub, another $130 despite being Matter compatible.Anyway, the Petory feeder is great and works with wifi without a hub, via the Tuya app, with Home Assistant.The only thing that is a little weird about this feeder is instead of setting the number of grams you want to feed per each serving, you set it in "servings" and have to weigh your food to identify how those grams are associated.

This is the second time I've purchased this unit. The first purchase was the non-WiFi model which we used exclusively on battery power for over 6 months without needing to change the battery. The manual on-device interface menu is perfectly usable, though a bit awkward to use without picking up the unit.The metal bowl is easy to remove and clean, and perfect to keep the cat healthy (she has reactions to plastic bowls).The portion size is a little larger than we used to give her manually, but the cat adjusted and is now doing very well with the regular scheduled feedings from this.More expensive feeders may have more features, but most have much larger minimum portion sizes. This device provides great functionality and at a great price.Unfortunately the first unit was lost in Hurricane Helene (thankfully everyone, including the cat were safe). We purchased the Wifi model to replace it, which makes it significantly more convenient.In terms of the app- Easy to use- Provides a clear record of feedings- Easy interface for manual feedings- Con: Easy to accidentally press the manual feed button. A 'click to confirm' option would be beneficial to minimize errors.- Con: One scheduled feeding seems to be triggering twice as seen in the 'Records' tab. I had to delete and re-add that entry to resolve.- Con: Only their official "Petory App" is officially supported, which is not a good sign for long-term support. TBD if it can be made compatible with alternative / open-source applications (ie: SmartLife).Update: The unit unexpectedly lost wifi and wouldn't reconnect, with the wifi icon simply showing a solid red. It took me a while before I accidentally discovered that the backup battery was the issue; the batteries were old and not giving enough power. When I left them out, the unit worked fine again. So, be WARNED the backup battery can itself cause power issues. A small UPS may be a more reliable solution.

Actually, I bought it for my vacation, believing thinking that it was like every other automatic cat feeder in the past, and would feed my cat for at least a week or more. When it arrived, it said it would only feed my cat for "one day"!!!!I just can't even imagine that there's people in the world that for "some reason" can't manage to feed their pets for even. "One day"!!! And need to pay for an "expensive automatic" pet feeder to feed their pets, instead of a simple non- spillable bowl!!! Like everyone else gets buy with!!!!If a person can't even manage to feed their pets for "one day", they really shouldn't have pets to begin with!!!! "Automatic feeders" are used for when you're on "vacation", and will be gone for a week or so, so you know your pets are getting fed every day that you're home."One day", the food doesn't go bad in "one day". So it's not as if you need to keep it fresh for them. If you. "Somehow" can't remember to feed your pets for the whole day, simply buy a bigger bowl for them so the food lasts the whole day.Pets are an important responsibility!! They deserve your love and attention!!If you care so little about your pets that you can't even manage to see that they get fed every day, and you require an automatic feeder to enable you to be able to feed them and properly care for them, then YOU NEED TO FIND THEM A SUITABLE HOME!!Unless there's some sort of reason that I've never heard of, that requires your pets to need an automatic feeder for a "single day", instead of a simple inexpensive bowl, that will hold enough food for a day.....?I hope you can manage to provide enough water for them too. And spend time with them. They also need your love and attention "every day ".

I got this for feeding my chonky boy the correct portions to slim him down gradually, and to feed him while I was away on a 3-day trip. It works perfectly! The battery backup is awesome, and kept the correct time & feeding settings when the power went out for several minutes. We live rurally so power outages are a regular occurrence, especially in winter. It’s easy to set up and easy to change the settings. You can have the feeder beep when it dispenses, or dispense silently. I recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable, economic feeder!
