We use it to feed our cat’s boyfriend (the stray that lives in our yard) when we’re out of town since he won’t let us pick him up to take him with us. Works great. We put it in a tent incase of rain

Pro: Decent machine for the price. It was quick and easy to set up/program. You don't need to spend half an hour digging in the manual to figure it out. Just unlock the screen by holding the lock button a few seconds, the tap in your settings with the other buttons, which are fairly self explanatory. The reserve tank can hold a decent amount of kibble. Con: One being every so often some kibble will get stuck on its way to the bowl, along the chute. Mainly this happens with the small portions. This isnt really a problem if you are going away for a weekend however as most does make it to the bowl as the stuck pieces get knocked loose with the next cycle anyway. It hasnt fully jammed on me, just a few times been backed up a tiny bit till the next feeding.One other con is the way the plastic pieces for the two bowls connect to the base, as it just isnt secure. It's meant to snap into the base of the machine, but (at least with mine possible just a bad mold production, as it 'looks' like it should snap more firmly and evenly, but it just wont!) So it is kinda loose. If I pick up the machine the bowls are not secure enough and they will fall off. When its on the ground the weight of the machine itself does at least hold them into their slots so its not an issue. Just an annoyance when it comes cleaning time.I had got a feeder unit just for one small meal while I sleep via a vets recommendation, and not for going away or anything of that sort. My male cat has the habit of gorging in the morning if he didn't have access to food through the entire night and every so often I wouldn't notice the main food bowl was empty or had been all scarfed up by his little sister. He would then eat until he got sick the following morning when he was fed his full breakfast meal.. This little feeder has solved that issue as I just set it to feed one portion shortly after I go to bed, and its been working perfectly as he hasn't gorged once since setting it up and it's nice to not have to deal with the kibble manually as often.

This automatic feeder is GREAT!! I got this for a last minute trip and it does exactly what it’s intended for.The numbers for the timed meals are in military time which is actually pretty helpful for keeping track of the schedule you’re setting your pets meal times.It was fairly easy to set up and you do have to long press the starting button to turn it on so you can set the feeding times.I use it on batteries since my cat loves to chew wires and it came in handy since we actually had a black out a few weeks after purchase but my cat still got his meals on time.He actually sits right in front of it when he knows it’s about to dispense his food. Before it even comes out and the first kibble hits the bowl, he’s already leaped into it. I guess he can hear the noise of the kibble churning as it comes out.This automatic feeder is great for pets that need to be fed in smaller amounts but fed consistently throughout the day.I can tell you, your pet cannot access the top to open it. My car has tried several times to open the top after seeing me do it when I need to refill it. He also tries to access it from the dispenser opening and he can’t do it! HA!He really is a greedy little thing and his efforts have been futile.No matter how many times he’s seen me open this feeder , he simply cannot open it and hadn’t realized he didn’t have opposable thumbs to do so!Excellent investment!!

This is a great feeder at a great price so even those on a budget or who need multiple can get one. It came well packaged. It's an easy set up despite what others may say. Just gotta read the directions. It works perfect. I love the back up battery or that you can use it where there isn't an outlet. Wish it had a couple more times you could set it to feed (it has 4) but for the price it's a minor complaint and I knew that when I bought it. I like that you can record a message and it has clear audio. You can make a pretty long one and you can make it loud if you want by getting really close or just back up a bit to make it quieter. The message goes off once before the food dispenses, then again after. It has gone off every time without fail. Would definitely recommend!

This was a fantastic addition to our busy household! It really streamlined the breakfast and dinner feedings for our cat. It’s been a great peace of mind to know he’s got all his food and it will function on time every day- especially when out of town or even just working late or having to leave earlier than usual. He was a little unsure of it at first due to the metal bowl and new sounds but quickly learned to love it!My cats food is all small circles that are the same size. No food has gotten stuck or jammed. While my cat doesn’t try to get into the top or mess with the display, but the locking features still work great. We’ve had no issues with missed or accidental extra feeding since purchasing this item. It works flawlessly. We keep it plugged in but also have batteries installed in case of power outages. We have ours set for 2 feedings a day (our cats typically feedings/times). One in the morning for breakfast at portion size 4 and the other for his dinner at portion 5 size. For his kibble the portion 5 size is equal to his typical 1/3 level cup of food.Awesome buy for the cat. Have thought about purchase one for my dog but if I’m being honest… I love her happy food dance a little too much to let a robot feed her! Perhaps someday I’ll look into buying another for the dog. Either way, this is a great feeder.Just don’t forget to check the food level. Funnily enough it can be an easy thing to forget once your not having to physically look at and scoop food every day. It’s easy to grab a quick glance from the outside due to the frosted top bowl design, but I usually just take the lid off for a better look. I check ours once every 2 weeks as it can easily hold a little over 2 weeks worth or meals since he’s only feed twice a day.
